Pregame Bruins-Stars

Julien switched up his lines a bit, flip flopping Axelsson and Sturm. Here is the rest of the lineup:

Milan Lucic-Marc Savard-Phil Kessel
P.J. Axelsson-Patrice Bergeron-Michael Ryder
Marco Sturm-David Krejci-Blake Wheeler
Petteri Nokelainen-Stephane Yelle-Shawn Thornton

Thomas to start for the fourth straight game. Kobasew may be back as early as Thursday, which gets me thinking who gets sent to the fourth line? Wheeler and Axelsson being the likely candidates. My choice is Axelsson easily, I thought Wheeler-Krejci-Kobasew looked great in the first game.

Still no Hunwick or Sobotka. I really want to see Sobotka crack the lineup, but who would he replace? Yelle is my choice, but Julien has loyalty to his veterans. Expect to see Sobotka back in Providence very shortly, especially with Kobasew returning.

Dallas will be without Brad Richards, Jere Lehtinen, and Segei Zubov, three of their most important players. The Bruins must stay out of the box, something they have had difficulty doing, notably the defense. Hopefully putting Sturm with Krejci gets him going tonight.

Prediction 4-2 Bruins.

Note- Richards is in the lineup.

I like the lineup for tonight. I think Sturm needed a little change, and playing with Krejci and Wheeler my be just the thing to get him rolling. I think that Julien hit it on the head when he said Sturm needs to start playing more physical. We all remember what he did in game 6 vs Montreal. He was banging the shit out of guys and taking the puck to the net. I can't wait for Kobasew to be back. I think Julien should let him know that it's ok if he doesn't block anymore shots, since he's made of glass. As far as Sobotka goes, it is a real shame that he hasn't seen much time with the B's.

Alright 1st period, but special teams sucked again. Turco made a couple of great saves, but that 4 minute PP was pretty suspect. Ryder had a good period, I won't be suprised to put one home tonight.

Thornton impresses me every game. He had a great chance for a goal in the 1st tonight and then he comes to the defense of his teammates like no other. Ott had a cheap hit on Noki and now on Yelle and deserved to feel the rath of Thorts fist on the back of his skull.

Ya Bergeron!

Sorry, I noted Richards not being in the lineup as reported by ESPN. However, he is in the lineup as I noted at the bottom.

Pekese thanks for the new post tonight. Things were getting a little stale around here. What a nice physical game tonight. Chara is actually playing like a 6'9 defenseman and knocking guys on their ass

Haha, I know finally. The Bruins need Chara to play with emotion every night.

What a hit from Ferrance..unlike Ott, the B's aren't afraid to throw down. This team has some friggin heart. Ott's a pussbag, his head better roll across that big B at center ice tonight. Entertaining game I hope everybody's watching this.

Ott is such a pussy. Ference is one of the smallest Bruins and hes willing to throw down.

Sherriff Shane Hnidy just T'd up on that dude. Avery's a purse wearing D-bag, "Brave Steve Ott" is a coward, Dallas has been cheap shotting the B's all night and it's nice to see the B's stick up for each other. Marc Savard tackling Avery?? How awesome is that? This game was a huge "Team building excercise", even bigger than their field trip to Vermont. Not a bad game by anybody in the lineup tonight. Too bad we now have to wait until Thurs for the next game.
