6 games, 3 SO losses
Not good, not good. We should have won against Pittsburgh, Montreal and Buffalo.
I don't know what Julien tells these guys, but you have to finish these games. The goalies have played decent in the shootouts, we have had chances to win against Buffalo and Pittsburgh and we could not, so the blame goes to the offense.
Only Kessel and Krejci have consistency in the shootouts. The Bruins don't deke enough, too much wrist shots.
While it's only 3 points, these are important come March and April when we are looking at the standings for playoff spots. 3 points could be the difference between 8th and out.

They blow in shoot outs.....nice shot Chara !! What a brutal second goal by Stafford as well. Wideman, PYLON....Chara no hit and Fernandez, go down sooner !! These points will haunt later !!
chara could have and should have leveled stafford when he drove right to the net without being touched. he shows his flashes of hal gill every now and again.

I don't know his career stats, but why hasn't Ryder been in the shootouts? He was brought here as a scorer, a guy with a quick shot, and yet he hasn't been used in a shootout. Chara slipped up tonight in the shootout, it happens.
Am I crazy, or was Phil thriving on the 3rd shot? Why the fuck did Claude put him first in these shootouts.

Have you guys seen Ryder's career shootout stats? He stinks. He's 1 for 12 in shootouts. And he's been in the lineup at least twice of the three shootouts this year. Ryder should be our 7th shooter or something like that. I'd like to see how Sobotka does in shootouts, he has a really quick stick, and he's creative.
I like Patrice, Krejci, Kessel, Sturm, Kobasew, Ryder...
I think it's important to lead with Patrice because he's our leader, and it's twice as important to close out with Kessel. He's clutch.

These non points will hurt, but there should be some optimism here for a couple of reasons. First it's still early and by the end of the season 3 shootout losses will not break the team, it could make the difference but it puts the team that much better off than 3 regulation losses. It just sucks that two of these three losses come from our division.
I agree with the dude that said Chara should rocked the shit out of Stafford there should be know way anyone should be able to skate straight across our crease with the puck like that and if they try to make them pay so they wont try it again. We have to put fear in these teams that think we are push overs in front of are net and dont think other teams arn't seeing this. Start fucking hitting boys and Im not talking about rubbing them out put some jam in to it. Fallse Ontario

We do need to send these teams a message. We are a harder hitting team, more physical and we need to establish fear of playing against.
We just went to shootout with last years eastern confrence champ, montreal who is supposed to be the team to beat in the east this year, and a team that has been on fire as of late. We got 3 points out of 6 there and your telling me its a huge deal? We were picked to get 0 points during those 3 games. Those are 3 clutch points if you ask me.
And yeah, the shoot outs need work and so does the defense. Chara sucked last night.
THANK YOU SMITTY! Points against Montreal after being down 3-0, Pitt after they went to the finals last year, and Buffalo who hasn't lost in regulation this year is something to be optimistic about. The team is looking damn good. If it wasn't for Soberan and Miller the B's win the last 2 games in regulation. The Bruins have 7 out of 12 points and have only played 1 home game this year. Quit your bitching people.
first off, againsts montreal, it was good to get a point, the pittsburgh game... they blow this year and only getting a point against them is disappointing, and after outshooting buffalo 16-6 in the first, losing that game was a kick in the penis.

anyone see that mockery in toronto last night? toskala plays the whole game including overtime, then coach wilson puts cujo in the net for the shootout. cujo makes 0 saves, leafs lose.
it could be worse!!! bruins rock. everyone will feel better after they spank the leafs on thursday. plus, the bruins are heading for a very weak part of the schedule, so the points will pile on.
The B's just have to have that killer instinct & go for the jugular. Too many times thay have played too soft. The D needs to establish a shit-kicker reputation & players like Stafford would think twice about venturing any further.

Speaking of Ryder - I honestly cannot believe the way he is playing. Too much on the fringe if you ask me. He needs to go directly to the holes & Savard will find him. An attitude for Ryder is a must & he must compete with an edge. Too much this year he has been a ghost of his former self.
Perhaps his name to fame in Boston will simply be Ghost Ryder.
ONE thing the team HAS TO DO is get more people in front of the net!! get that tiped shot. they are close it will come. Also I will give Fernandez 5 more games!! If he does not get his puck play in order and stands up alittle more in the net I think he should be the best paid back-up the NHL!! no trades yet but keep the door open. Here we go again what was wrong with his 28 saves against a speedy Buffalo team. Yes he still looks a little shaky but hes still getting his body in front of the shot. WTF does this guy have to do to get you guys off his back. YA we know 4 million is a lot of money but its not his fault, just like its not his fault hes had a bad knee for the past 2 years. We knew that when we got him so point the finger where it belongs if your going to BITCH. This is probably his last season here so suck it up. You guys have NO CLUE what ur talking about chiarella is not a JOKE he brought our team back got rid of GLEN MURRAY and his 4.25 salary got a youger more talented with his salary (ryder) also a promising young player in wheeler...KESSEl has been playing very well ....I was at the pittsburgh game we controlled the flo of the game just didnt get the bounces .....as far as buffalo once again we controlled the game RYAN MILLER stood on his head....GIVE IT TIME ...i am liking what i am seein from our offens....defense as well they are getting the puck to the wingers...like i said GIVE IT TIME...

Everyone knows Tuukka is coming next year, he's not ready this year. We aren't going to trade for another goalie so get over it. It's thomas and manny for now.

The Penguins suck? They can win any game with a line like Crosby, Malkin and Satan. That line alone will put up enough goals to win games and make the playoffs, so don't say they suck
And yes we did out shoot buffalo but did you also see that after the kessel goal they out shot us 11-3. So they also out shot us at one point.
You guys need to realize they cant turn it on like a light switch. It's coming, it ight be coming slowly but the Bruins we all know and love are coming.
HOORAY everyone. the greatest hockey player in the history of the game is playing tonight. now we can all watch and see how he hurts our offense. the bruins looked awesome the past 3 games and gave up a total of 5 goals, not including the shootouts. not bad at all.
