Three missing from practice

Blake Wheeler, Milan Lucic, and Marc Savard were all missing from practice today. Lucic and Savard missed the third with upperbody injuries in last nights victory over the Ducks. Wheeler blocked a shot early in the game and limped off the ice. He played the rest of the game. Hopefully the injuries aren't serious.

UPDATE:
Marc Savard and Milan Lucic are questionable for tomorrow's game. Blake Wheeler will play tomorrow. Vladimir Sobotka has been recalled from Providence on an emergency basis.

There is a three-stage process in all claims. Glen Murray has gone through the first two steps of the process already. The next process is scheduled for March 4th. After Murray meets with the NHL on March 4th a decision will be made, so within the next two weeks we will know the details on the outcome.

i'm a die hard bruins fan from montreal belive it or not and Pierre McGuire was just on a local radio sports show and he said phil kessel is on the move Pierre McGuire has to much respect in the NHL to make this up

I see it going somthing like this. kessel for Chris Pronger find a way to bring in Keith Tkachuk and the Bruins will make a run for the cup!!

According to Eklund the Cole deal is all but done, just not sure who's going the other way.

i was listening to the fan this afternoon and maguire and doug maclean were talking about trades. maclean brought the kessel for pronger trade up to maguire and they both agreed it would be a good trade for both teams, short term boston for sure. I just dont see it happening. cole possibly and maybe leopold but not pronger, giving up way too much.

It would be a big mistake trading Kessel. I know he's in a bit of a slump right now but he is still very young and is only gonna get alot better. Cole will be a bruin by the trading deadline.

I totally agree with you guys. Kessel should not be traded! Pronger isnt worth it..he is 35 while kessel is in early 20's. That pretty much explains it

what maclean was saying was that the salary cap is expected to drop about 7 mil in two years and teams like boston could be hurting iwth all these young studs to sign. if they got pronger now for the cup run his contract would be up the year the cap came down.

The question is do the Bruins have a better chance winning the cup with year with Pronger or Kessel? I bet Kessel, plus there is no reason we can't sign him long-term.

hey i agree one hundred percent. I didnt think pronger did much last night.

I can see Kessel having a 40 goal season in 2 yrs. Our defense is good enough, we don't need Pronger and we definately don't need him at Kessel's expense. We need a good scoring left winger. I think we are gonna end up with Cole but i would sooner have Tkachuk.

fuck pronger, he does not make us better, sure pronger is great and we will get better on d, but we will lose a lot on offense, we do not need to make a trade, and if we do i hope its for cole or tkachuk. we made it this far with the lineup we have, and i dont want to see them pick it apart now.

kessel could be a 50 goal scorer next year, and he could have reached it this year if not for mono.

pierre mcguire talks...he said kessel was washed-up and had peaked at last year's deadline...remember that? he has it in for phil.

true mcguire is respected, but he's wrong on this one.

Pierre Mcguire represents the wussification of the NHL.

Fuck Pierre Mcguire.

Cmon, lets start a new site;

Kessel for Pronger would be a HUGE mistake.

Chia has already expressed his feelings to the media about Kessel after the Hossa debacle last season. I remember his exact words..."You have to be patient,...with these players".

This was a quote I remember to a question regarding the trading of Kessel for Hossa last season.

No way in hell does he let Kessel go for Pronger. Pronger is good, but not worth Kessels stock.

I can see PC avoiding any deals that involve major roster changes on in Boston. Dont be surprised if we go into the playoffs with no deal whatsoever.

IF anything is to be done, I think PC should only tinker with the roster. I am not thrilled about Cole - I 'd rather have Tkachuk. Leopold would also be a good fit.

I also heard the Pronger rumour - only that it was Pronger & Moen to Boston for Kessel or Bergeron and Stuart. No way we make this deal. PC stated that he would not disturb the team's chemistry - that deal would do exactly that.

DO THE DEAL!!! DO THE DEAL!!! It does not matter if Pronger is a Bruin or not. Sure, it may improve your chances of winning the Cup. But that does not guarantee you squat. The only guarantee is that the Caps will handle anything that the Bruins have to offer today & in the playoffs. We have taken 5 out of a possible 6 points from you this year. It'll be 7 out of 8 after today. Pronger & Chara - what a joke. OV will annihilate them & the B's.

The Bruins are on top in the East. I think it would be foolish to tinker with the roster much at this point.

I think adding Pronger is a good move, but not at the cost of anybody on the roster short of the guy who is going to lose his job to Pronger. I certainly wouldn't move Kessel.

Hossa debacle? Pronger have another year on his contract after this one; he's not a rental. With Pronger at the blueline, the Bruins would be scary... The question is: Do the front office really believe that they can go all the way; even with Floppy in the net?

Here's a new one guys that i heard yesterday. Going to Boston would be Fernandez, Lashoff, and Sobotka to Colorado for Leopold and Ryan Smyth. I like this one, doubt it's true. Were gonna lose Fernandez in the off season anyways. Lashoff and Sobotka haven't really amounted to anything anyways. Smyth is a true goal scorer with a lefthanded shot. Just not sure about the cap space where Smyth is more then Fernandez. I think Rask would do a good job as backup for Timmy T.

Smyth has a not trade clause and has said he wont wave it.

Colorado taking a UFA goaltender??? The Bruins taking the chance to put all the pressure on Rask if Thomas is hurt? Yeah, sure... What a stupid rumour

I also heard a rumor similar to that - Ax, Nokie, Fernandez & an un-named D to the Avs for Smyth & Leopold. I know that Ax & Smyth have no-trade clauses and that the cap #'s probabaly make no sense. But it would be nice to see Smyth in a bruins uni.

If it makes no sense; why are you talking about that rumour?
