Toronto scout at last three games

The Herald reported that the Toronto Maple Leafs have had scouts at the last three Bruins games. Chiarelli and Brian Burke have made a few deals in the past. Last week Edmonton also had a scout at 2 Bruins games.

Toronto and Edmonton will both be looking to get rid of impending unrestricted free agents before the deadline. Nik Antropov, Dominic Moore, and Brad May all have expiring contracts at the end of this season for Toronto. Edmonton has Eric Cole as it's lone potential unrestricted free agent. If the price is right, I would not be surprised to see Chiarelli pull the trigger for a winger. My personal choice would be Cole, but his pricetag may be steeper then the rest.

Bruins need to win today, not just for obvious reasons; but also since i went to school in norcal and the hockey shit talking was at a premium while i was there.

Nor-cal fans think they know everything about hockey, just like they know everything about everything.

GO BRUINS!!!!!

Yeah, I think it's time to pull the trigger on a winger. No Sturm or Ryder is hurting this team.

What the hell are you watching. The loss to The Sharks last night was their 1st regulation loss in their last 10 games!!! The best in the NHL over that period of time !!! Why not cheer this team on instead of shitting on them!! History is being made here and you are bitching ablut it - worse than a habs fan.

Hey Bruinsrule.....I was talking about the P.P. I have been a Bruins fan for 20 years and will be for the next 20. I'm not shitting on them, however the last 5 or so games have been average at best and we were lucky to get the points we did. My point is I don't want to see this season go to waste. Put guys out there that deserve it not " Turnover" Axellson on the P.P.

P.S. DON'T COMPARE ME TO A HABS FAN !!!!

Since no updates ever come here until they are already known, how about some talk about the Bruins tarding. rumors has it edmonton is looking to trade Hemsky. I know savard is great but he's getting up there in age. Why not trade Savard and Sobotka for Hemsky and Cole. Then look for a defenseman to bolster our guys.
Don't bash me for wanting to trade Savard. I love the guy but would love to get a Hemsky for him. Savard is great but isnt a true fit Bruin. Doesnt near enough hit.

savard not a true fit bruin? are you smoking crack? hes the best forward we have the past two seasons hes willing to play defense now and since when is 31 gettng up there in age? hemsky is overrated so go do that trade on nhl09 where you belong...theres a reason fans arent gms...this looney toon is the precise reason for it...also savard said he wants to retire a bruin so how about you actually watch the team and get some information before you make yourself look like an idiot?

I watch all the bruins and my point is savard is not a game changer like the true Top guys can be. I want goals not assists. Savard may be the top guy for the Bruins last 2 years but I want someone that can be a difference maker. Not a passer! I would package Savard for Hornton and Bowmeester in Florida, Hemskey and Cole in Edmonton, or try 2 pry away Heatley for him. I didnt say I dont liek Savard I just dont see him winning the cup for us! Call me smoking or not, if Bowmeester would sign a long term deal, I woudl even trade Chara straight up for him. Chara has pissed me off too much this year. he has trouble with the fast skaters all the time. Get Bowmeester in here next year

wow dude i dont know what team you are watching i really dont...savard is a game changer incase you hadnt noticed...passing is just as integral a part of the sport as shooting...last i checked savard had more goals than hemsky anyway...again check your facts...and oh yeah chara is horrible this year +24 is so bad against all the top lines in the league...compare that to bouwmeesters +4...yeah that would be another smart trade just stop talking man you dont know what youre talking about

Look at where Bowmeester plays. He is on Florida. HELLO!! I take Bowmeester over Chara right now, age and potential goes to him. As for Savard. assist are fine, but when you need the gritty man that needs to go infront of the net, that is not savard. And to know my facts, wasn't it last year that the owner said he didnt like Savard? hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Know your facts fool! Oh by the way, good job on looking at hemsky's stats. question is did u notice he was injured and played less games. Also watch some of his games on tv and if not, highlights on youtube. The man is amazing with the puck!

i have to agree with bigkniht... trading the centerpieces of the arguably best team in the NHL doesnt make much sense, that being said i do think the bruins need to shake things up a bit, ever since the holiday break they have been grinding out points which is essential, but lack the success they had the first half of the season and need to get axellson off the roster by adding another forward and ADD GRIT to the lineup, im sick of being outhit and having thornton have to police our team, i love looch, hes my favorite bruins but hes gotta step up and take on a heavyweight and throw his body around like he did last year. he does it on select nights but not consistently.

hahaha HA

Trade Savard? are you kidding me? Over the last 4 or 5 years he's been a top level producer and absolute game changer. He's one of the premier two way players in the league and you'd have to be stupid or brain dead to trade him. Move Fernadez while you can, that'll clear up 4.3 mill of cap space, and bring Rask up so that when Timmy is ready to go, Rask is ready and we don't have to go looking.

I don't see a market of P.J. and as much as I love the guy for being a Bruin forever, I think he's wore out his welcome. Ward-o, PJ and Fernandez clear up some major space, and the 4 mill or so that comes off the books for Sturm mean this team has no excuse to not go after someone.

Chara - Wideman
Pronger - Ferrance
... talk about a scary task for an opponent in a 7th game series. AO I'm talking to YOU!

Savard is our Hero guys? How many points did he get in New Jersey?
"0"!!!!! Know your facts. He is not a player that can take the team on his back into the playoffs. And We are not the best team in the NHL. I would love to say that but get realistic. San Jose gave it too us and New Jersey has beaten us 2 in a row now.
