Is it Tuuka Time??

Tuuka Rask recorded his first NHL shutout in only his 5 career game. Rask stopped all 35 shots from a below average offense. He looked very composed with his butterfly style of play. He was square on the majority of shots that came his way but one of his weaknesses was his rebound control. I am all for the dual goaltending tandem, but it makes you wonder, is Manny Fernandez now expendable? Would you trade him if you could get that lefthanded shooting winger? Or if you could get the puck moving defenseman? Tuuka was drafted in the same class as Carey Price and appears to be ready to make it to the next level. Once Fernandez comes back and starts playing well again, the question will be if Chiarelli can say no to trade proposals especially if they fit the need the Bruins want to address. If Rask continues to show he is ready, it may alter Chiarelli's decision to go further with the Thomas-Rask tandem instead of the Thomas-Fernandez tandem. Chiarelli likes getting value for his players and with Manny leaving at the end of the season as a UFA, it makes it even more of a difficult decision.

i dont think chiarelli would do it, he loves having all this depth, its nice knowing your team can consistently play at a high level despite injurys. even though its not likely thomas or tukka gets hurt, thats still way more of a risk than chia would take.

His rebound control was pretty good but not great. As a whole, from watching him in Providence, this season, and last years brief stint in the NHL, I feel that rebound control is the only thing he really needs to work on. Julien also addressed this last season and said that in Providence they were going to have him work on his rebounds. Either way, he is the goalie of the future and would love to see more of him.

I was skeptical of Tuuka. I thought he was going to be another Hannu Toivenen, but from what I saw last year and again in training camp and yesterday I know that's not the case. He plays the butterfly to near perfection. He plays big and has great positioning. He was tracking the puck really well yesterday, and I wouldn't mind seeing him get another game before the trade deadline. B's are missing a goal scorer for the 2nd line. If they can manage to pick one up and ship PJ down to the 4th line, then I don't see a reason why they don't make it to the conference finals if not the cup finals.

The clock is ticking. Soon it will be the hour to give new meaning to the Massacre de Boston.

5-2 Habs & I'm being conservative. Can't wait. Kamikaze Komiserek will destoy all today & Kovalev will soar.

The only black & gold team to win today will be the Steelers.

When the Bruins see our new uniforms (a la jail break style) they will be mesmerized & confused. Ever more so by our dazzling goals that will put the Bruins to shame.

Even our ghosts will not be needed today. The Habs will take care of business & dismantle the Bruins by themselves.

Can't wait for 2:00 pm. Watch for me, I'll be 6 rows back directly behind the Habs bench and I will be leading the Ole Ole Ole, Ole, Ole.

Geez, you got to give him credit - persistent little bugger this et le but.

The way I see it, the Bruins are in the driver's seat. No need to play into the Canadien's crap today. Just play a tight defensive game, clog up the neutral zone and when the opportunity arises, take it to the net. No need to be fancy - get the dirty goals.

I watched the end of the Montreal game yesterday & the Kings were successful in the neutral zone. Moreover, Price is prone to losing the puck in traffic. If the Bruins simply play smart & take care of their own end and above all, do not get sucked into shitty penalties, they will be ok.

The Habs are desparate. One point by the B's would be nice today - 2 will be terrific and deadly to the Habs.

Just getting warmed up. The massacre will take place in the
2nd period.

Henry vs. Thornton, part deux. After that, it's all downhill for the Bruins.

Shitty 1st goal by the Bruins - lucky break.

5-1 Habs after 2.

Did you seriously think they would beat the Bruins? Your stupid pre-game and intermission posts are hilarious.

You are a dumb shit arent you? You remind me of the coyote, as he embarasses himself, and does it all on a stage for those to laugh at.

What do you have to say now? I cant wait to open some more hab faces in Boston next game.

P.S. Et le bue, change your pants and take a shower; you smell like your own shit after watching that game.

You garcons are priceless. Its our 100th anniversary & the league and God will not allow the cup to go anywhere but Habtown.

No matter what happens in the season, once the playoffs start, its all Habs. It has already been conspired to and approved by the NHL & GOD himself.

Enjoy it now - you'll be crying come June.

I would guess the only need for goaltender among Western Conf. Playoff contenders would be LA.

I am not sure what they are willing to give up but Dustin Brown would be nice. Young, American born, physical presence with nice offensive numbers. I think Julien would like to add him to the piece of the puzzle and eliminate the need for PJ next season.

I don't even think the Habs will make the playoffs!

Kiss my Butt is either very drunk or very stupid.

I could not take my eyes off of those jerseys. They were the ugliest things I have ever seen. I could not stop laughing. Oh, and I happen to like our old 3rd jersey with the Yogi the Bear head.

You must be talking next season because Sturm is gone with knee surgery this season pal.

Et Le But was right about one thing. That the league has already conspired and approved to the Habs winning the cup. Why else do you think they get all the calls they do?
