Bergeron, Lucic and Ference to play tomorrow

In an interview on NESN, Peter Chiarelli said in all likelihood that all three of Bergeron, Lucic, and Ference will play tomorrow. It says it on the bottom line on NESN as well. Lucic is not much of a surprise. Ference has been skating lately, but wit his return who sits on d? Bergeron is the major question here. He has been skating and taking part in contact drills in practice for about two weeks now. It will be interesting to see if he actually is in the lineup tomorrow. Assuming Bergeron is back, he may be playing on the wing. As of now Sobotka and St. Pierre are both back in Providence, while Bitz is still up with the big club. Here's a possible lineup for tomorrow if these players do in fact return to action and there are no other call ups:

Lucic-Savard-Bergeron
Wheeler-Krejci-Ryder
Axelsson-Yelle-Kobasew
Thornton-Nokelainen-Bitz

Chara-Ward
Ference-Wideman
Stuart-Hnidy

heres one possibilty to why manny isnt around. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Jesse-Connolly/Hes-Back-And-So-Am-I-With-a-Tale-of-Woe-Rumors-An-Apology-and-More/116/19055. tho its from eklunds site and we all know hes never correct. i think either move would be dumb.

I still think they are not playing Fernandez to set up for a trade - He has a tendancy to get hurt so why not keep him out of action while his GA and save percentage is top five in the league. With Ferance comming back there is a excess of D - Lashoff - Stuart - Hindy. With almost everyone back from IR there are bodies in demand around the league who are not playing. The bruins do not need a player from the draft this year so there pick would be used also. There is still a month to the trade deadline but why not deal early to avoid rediculous last minute decisions.

If the B's are looking at a trade with the Avalanche, why not trade for Ian Laperriere? 1.5 mil, last season of his contract... I know he's on the IR right now, but if he was back, talk about a tough team to play against. He's the kind of veteran the Bruins could use in the play-offs.

should be a good game tonight, i've got the PVR set.

i have played hockey before...AAA a long time ago! just shinny now. here in the land of hockey, we are born into it...

in a contract year, a player has all the "heart" he can muster...it's the skills manny is lacking.

B's website is promoting a "Go Red For Women" night tonight. Wouldn't it make more sense to have this promotion on a night other than one when you're playing against a team who's colors are predominantly red? I hope fans going to the game have more common sense than the B's brass and wear nothing but Black and Gold tonight.

Andy Ference back in the lineup yessah!

Okay. From hubhockey.com:
I'll admit it was a crappy deflection of a Capitals skate but when did that become a "fluke" in the NHL. Re-directions happen basically in every game and now its categorized as a fluke? I wonder if the fact that Alexander Ovechkin playing tonight had anything to do with it. Also, that penalty on Chara for the so-called "hook" was bullshit. And the only reason Ovechkin went down so hard into the boards was because he tried to sell the call. Terrible call and terrible play.

I agree. Watch the play again on youtube.

He dove. dead issue. A fluke goal? Excuses don't win championships.

I'm sick to death of Alex Ovechkin. He's an amazing player. But Unlike most NHL media, I don't jerk off everywhere when his name is mentioned. They were talking about him taping his sticks, 2 minutes left in a tied game. Give me a break.

i totally agree with you da wreck when O8 went into the boards it looked to me like he tried to shove himself into them harder. and yes if o8 or cindy crosby, yes thats a misspelling on purpose, would have scored that ot winner it would have been talent not a fluke. overall the officiating was horrible last night. so many bad phantom calls on both sides. sorry this game was not islanders vs thrashers it didnt need to be made more exciting with powerplay chances to make it a high scoring event. thank god the boys did get those pp chances tho haha. great effort last night by the boys in black and gold. o and the habs lost :)

the BEST was Boudreau's comments:
"Did the No. 1 seed win last year? How about the year before?" he said. "Who's in the Super Bowl? It's like a two and a six. It's not like the NCAAs when a No. 16 against a one and you don't have much of a chance."

Why does everyone shyt on the B's? Not for anything, but I (and every person on sportsnet and tsn) think the b's will steamroll through the east and face their first challenge in the finals-detroit, although i'd love to stomp medium-joe's sj sharks. no more excuses...what is he trying to say? B's aren't really that good? B's are built as a playoff team should be: toughness, depth, scoring, strong non-trap defense (yes, not a trap so f-off), excellent vezina-worthy goaltending and experience. the caps are NOT: shit goaltending, one good line and 3 shit lines, garbage defense and a general lack of experience in the playoffs. who's going to provide leadership? federov? fuck off.

da wreck, you're right-on man. AO dove, you can tell how he tucked his skate under himslef. arguable the best skater in the league suddenly falls because he gets a stick in the arm?

THE OVERTIME GOAL:
reaction to Krejci's goal - "what a fluke! oh the b's are lucky to have won this one! bad luck for the caps"
If crosby scored it - "Crosby is the best! he did that re-direction on purpose! that's why he's going to win every award this year! that's why he doesn't have to play defence and be a big pussy all year! that's why bob mckenzie will suck him off after the game! oh the skill! watch-out gretzky! give the vezina and the jack adams to crosby as well!"
