Bruins snap 4 game skid

The Bruins finally snapped their 4 game losing streak against Rob Brindamour and the Carolina Hurricanes. It was a tight, even-matched game until the third period when the Bruins broke it open with 3 goals.

Ups
- Patrice Bergeron continued to look good. Glad he got the open netter at the end.
- Tim Thomas again, allowing only one goal with multiple good saves
- The powerplay. Both units got goals tonight after struggling badly the previous 8 games.

Downs
- Phil Kessel had at least 4 golden chances to break his goal scoring slump. It's only a matter of time before he catches fire again.
- Mark Stuart took two borderline penalties. One late in the third which could have been costly.

Maybe they'll find he has a sprained ACL and needs to sit out for 2-3 weeks.

close game until Krejci "the Matrix" scored that shorty late in the third. powerplay finally got a spark. three games in florida state coming up. two against a panther team who play their hearts out every night. the next 3 weeks should be a good measure since they play the ducks and caps at the end then to start march they play 8 games in 13 days against 4 or 5 teams that are pretty hot right now. should be interesting. go go black and gold.

Eklund....I know, I know....Has the Bruins and Sens as front runners for Samuelsson from the Wings. I guess it is a money situation over there. Wings would only wants picks / prospects in order to dump salary. I like this idea, thoughts ??

I'll believe it when the deal is done. Or possibly when I see it (somewhere else).

Eklund does pull a lot of BS, but he is right about Detroit needing to free up salary. But he has one thing wrong, the Wings need the salary space for next season so they can resign Franzen, Hossa, and address their goaltender situation.

Therefore the Wings will try and move someone so they can shed some cap space for next season. Dan Cleary and Valterri Filpulla seem like very bad contracts now especially since they have cap hits of 3.0 million and 2.8 million for the next 3 seasons. Cleary has 11 goals and Filpulla only has 6. Another possibility could be Jiri Hudler who is elible to be a RFA at the end of the season. He's due for a big pay raise because of his production this season(only two points behind Zetterberg) but would land a lot in return.

Mikael Samuelsson just doesn't make sense for the Bruins. He is a right handed shooter who plays the right side and does not bring much grit to his game. I can see the Wings making a few trades but Samuelsson to the Bruins seems very unlikely.

did any one hear ward this mornin on WBCN? Thats was awesome, he ripped milbury for basically sucking as a gm and trading away all the talent he had on the team.

No, I missed it. Wardo has been uptight lately. He did an interview with NECN last week sometime and they asked him about the trade deadline and the possibility of the Bruins acquiring a scorer. He shot it down immediately and stated pretty rudely that no trade should be made and if there is a trade it will hurt the team by upsetting the chemistry. He went on to say the incoming player ( not sure who he was hinting at.. Thachuk,Cole maybe???) would fit in with the current group of guys.

Finally, you Bruin fans are coming around. Cheering for my beloved Habs no less. Great to see!!

Know what else is great. My Habs falling into 8th place and meeting & beating your B's in the 1st round. Montreal - what a country.

If the B's slip to 2nd or 3rd which is not beyond belief considering how pathetic the B's have been since December, my Habs will counter by finishing 7th or 6th in order to tangle with and beat your overrated bruins. Ah - sweet revenge - & no Kovalev.

Et le bue, there is no way in hell your stupid habs are going to make the playoffs.

Let alone win one game agains the Bruins.

You suck, your city smells and you still havent answered me how much you enjoyed watching Patrick Roy night.

Also, whoever said your pulling for Montreal, keep that shit to yourself. Just because they are piss poor, and will obviously not make the playoffs, let me remind you a Bruins fans will take any sacrifice in lew of the habs demise.

Et le Bue, you are as much a joke as your fucked up franchise.

Oh, how SWEEEEET Patrick Roy night was............man!

Oh. My. God.

Montreal scandal...who would have guessed?

Et le Bue, not only does Montreal smell like you and your soiled pants from Patrick Roy night, but your shitty hockey team are a bunch of mother fuckin' crooks.

What a disgrace to the NHL?

You dirty little drug dealing fuckers. Thats a GREAT example for all. A great example that Montreal has no class, no respect, no wins in 3 straight against Boston, a team who soiled its sanctity by LOSING Patrick Roy night, and now is selling drugs to 10 year olds.

Are you crying NOW, Et le bue?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!
