New Blog!!!!
Okay, so I have been spending the past few weeks trying to decide what to do with the blog. I really love it, but I wanted something with more flexibility. I also am a huge Celtics, Sox and Patriots fan as well, and I love to talk about not just the Bruins but every team. I thought it would be an interesting concept to have what we had at Bruinsrumors for all the 4 major sports teams in New England.
I know many of you here are just hockey fans, but this new blog will not change the content. There will still be as many if not more pieces on the Bruins and NHL as were here. The layout is a little more professional and the content will have more links. There is also an easier way to update stuff like the sidebar and there is now the option of pages which makes it more website like. I note, I am not going to stop Bruinsrumors. I'm simply trying something new and if everyone hates it, then I will come back to this site. I would like as much feedback as possible.
The site is The Boston Sports Blog. There is also a cool embedded chat which I thought was really neat.
Edit: I didn't say this, but I am still going to post some things here, so it's not like this site is gone as of now. Basically, Bruinsrumors and everything here will be at The Boston Sports Blog, it will just also have the other teams as well.

thats to bad i really enjoy this blog as is, its the one bruins blog where you can really talk and share your own opinions.
i like the idea and am also a fan of the other teams in boston, but i like this blog as is, hope it does not change.
does that mean pekese will still post here or is he done too?
Is there any chance you would like to hand over the domain to a different party?
can someone explain how eaves signing with detroit will affect the B's?
donttt do ittttt
Go do your other blog and leave this one to Pekese
Zeredev's a free agent..he was awarded 3.9 in arbitration..I wouldn't mind seeing him replace Kessel
If you think Kessel is soft then you haven't seen Zherdev play. He's going to want more money than Kessel and scored 12 less goals than him. I agree pekese should post here you post there. It was 95% him posting anyway.
Pekese, tell me your not going to stop blogging here.
With all due respect to the Sox, Pats & Celtics, I would much rather see this site dedicated to the Bruins. Not that we are not as passionate for the others but I suspect that there are many Bruin fans out there who do not follow the other teams. I am thinking specifically about those in Canada and the rest of us in the USA who couldn't care less how the others do. No disrespect intended to other followers of these teams.
I understand everyone's point, but it's just an opportunity to try something new and if it doesnt work then everyone here will still continue to post. Like said before, the same info, insight and posts will be on The Boston Sports Blog, so it's not like everything is gone. Everything here will just be mixed in with the other 4 sports.
As one of the fans from Canada I would not like to see this blog to contain the other sports. I have been a fan of the Bruins since the early 70's, but it is the only team from Boston that I follow. Hell, I don't even follow the NFL at all. As a Canadian I have been brought up with the CFL and enjoy that. I wouldn't want my Bruin blog (one that I regularly visit on a daily basis) to be mixed with other sports and stories that I really don't care about.
Just my 2 cents!
I just saw what Pekese did, and I think I have a fair compromise for people for the time being. Me and Pekese will post on both blogs, as both will contain the same information. Those who like the other sports, can go to The Boston Sports Blog, and those who just want Bruins can go here.
i'll blog on this bitch.
i used to have my own "leafs suck" blog...haven't updated it in a while.
i suggest you watch this:

(pretty funny)
Matt, that seems like the best idea. It would be fairly unattractive to the hockey purists who post here to feel like they are part of a unique fan base for the Bruins. The Boston sports scene can be a bit overwhelming for those who are not completely involved.
I do follow the Pats, but the Celtics have been dead to me since the 80's (of course i watch any playoff games), and I have NEVER cared for the Red Sox, although it was fun to watch them finally beat the Yankees then go on to win one.
But the Bruins are a way of life,....just like hockey itself.
...and for a little follow up, yes, I did have my hands in the air for the Celts, and I work in LA, so you can imagine how GODDAMN fun that was to watch them beat the Lakers.
There! Thats it. Most likely the last time I will talk anything non-Bruin here.
