2010 Olympics Preview : Team USA
Yeah, I know its a while away but it should be interesting to see who makes the final cut for team USA. So far there have been 31 skaters and 3 goaltenders invited to camp. Here is what I would like to see from team USA:

Bill Guerin, Keith Tkachuk, and Brian Rolston were all not invited to camp. That does not mean they will not make the roster, but it appears team USA is looking for a younger, quicker lineup to better compete in the uptempo Olympic style of play. Also on my roster but not invited to camp are Ballard, Corvo, and Dipietro.

dude....fuck Komisarek. by far the biggest pile of shit to ever lace up skates. i say that with true legit feelings. not one thing about that total shit head should be apart of any team that lists names like the ones of the US team. I'm ashamed for him, for even being an american.
now im not saying anything that people dont already know, and i know for a fact that people agree. just the name gets me pissed, however their is the fact that he belongs to lucic.
and i mean belongs. i just watched the movie " taken " (not for the first time) and the part where they were selling the chicks, i pictured lucic in the booth purchasing Komisarek. i say this because not only did looch just demoralize him in a fight...but he 1-2 punched him out in the 2nd fight. hes a total bitch, wannabe tough guy, total puss bag, cheap shotting, douchetard, fuck head who needs to be kicked out of the nhl.
i mean in his defence, it takes true talent, character, and sportsman like heart to try to poke eye balls out...and try to fight much SMALLER people. so hats off to him...

Haha. I knew having Komisarek on the team would get some people going. I think he's over rated by the league and in this case is the reason he'll be picked. Komisarek has been there before giving him more of an advantage over a younger defenseman with no Olympic experience. Hopefully the coaches pick someone like Carle or Ballard or even Corvo over Komisarek.
Willisss - don't hold back on your feeling over komisarek. :)

Onto Bruin news - has anyone heard anything regarding Kessel? The only thing I have heard is what Ek is spouting and you can't believe him.
Vince, nothing on Kessel. He was on the radio in Toronto Monday afternoon and said there has been no progress in negotiations and the two sides are far apart.
Chiarelli continues to say Kessel will be back and other pieces may have to be moved to fit Kessel in.
Komy is an over rated speedbag. Tough as nails when he is battling smaller players like Hunwick or Yelle in a corner but we all saw what happens when someone of equal size challenges him. He was a pus*y speedbag that was exposed on a pus*y team. At least now with the Leafs he can hide behind some of their actual tough guys. Fricken pretender!
As for USA. 5th place is my prediction.
someone please tell me why marc savard isnt on team canada....there are some names that shouldnt be there....heres a guy who averages 80 to a 100 pts a year so...give me one reason why he shouldnt be there
honestly, canada is so stacked theres going to be 5-10 good players left off. because savard hasnt been there before, hell probably be left off again. IMO anyway. pekese are you gunna do one for canada, russia, etc?
oh yeah i forgot to mention... komisarek is a pussy...
savard is out because he just learned to play responsibly in his own end over the last two years. not as quick as some of the other options either.

i agree. the usa team cant stack up against canada or russia. the forwards are pretty good, but the defense is very thin
bruins have a steal of a contract with krejci. zajac who has comparable stats just signed for 3.88 a year. ill take krejci over him anyday.
Don't get behind canada's team so fast. the 2006 olympics were a disaster for us...and we were HEAVY favourites. in fact, i remember announcers saying a Canadian B team would probably place silver.

savard deserves to be there as far as playing ability goes. for all we know, he's just a dick in the changeroom.

Savard has been a one dimensional player his entire career (junior and pro) up until the last two years under Julien.
Thornton has been invited but harldy a lock to make the team and was picked based on his national team experience.
It about the specific centremen invited as shifting Savy over the wing isn't a smart move compared to the other guys accustom to playing wing.
So lets compare Savy to the other invited centres. Listen, do I think he should have gotten an invite...sure. But would he have made this team. Very unlikely.
Centers include: Crosby, Gagne, Eric Stall, Jordan Stall, Thonrton, Lecavalier, Getzlaf, Richards, Derek Roy, Toews, Jeff Carter, Andy McDonald and Marleau
No chance are Marleau, McDonald, Roy and I think Gagner is also out.
So it will come down to the Stall bros, Crosby, Lecavalier, Getzlaf, Thornton, Richards, Toews and Carter. Towes is a shootout magician so he gets an outside shot but still doubtful. I just don't see and arguement for Savy to push out anyone of the others.
My 4 centres would be: Crosby, Getzlaf, Lecavalier, Eric Stall and it's a toss up between Thornton or Carter.
I think Looch will make the team as a 4th line wing provided he is playing well in the fall. Looch and Eric Stall on the same line. Or Looch and Thornton? The point is the 4th line centre will be fricken sick and it's no shame to Savy for being left out. If he was a Yank, he would probably be the #1 or #2 centre.
