Thanks for the breakdown Pekese, your accuracy and consideration has always been consistent.
I think Phil Kessel is worth 2.665 million. Anyone else??
how does the 10% over-spending work?
i say dump kessel for 1st round picks next year. if we sign him now, it means we're slim on signing lucic next year.
would i trade sturm for kessel? probably.
$2.665 will not get it done for kessel, stating the obvious here.
I see 7 capable defensemen here, is Ward going to get moved?
I believe Kessel will either sign with us or hold out. He is not going to get the money he wants anywhere else because the cost to sign elsewhere includes prospects teams in addition, making him too expensive for others...
A one year for Kessel may be the best answer for the B's and Kessel. Hope it happens.
the one year for kessel i dont like, because we have to many players to resign next year.
one of sturm kobasew and kessel are most likely not going to be here next year, and since kobasews cap hit is not all that big, and sturm has a ntc, i think kessel still might be gone, even though pc said he will be back.
kessel has the most value and could easily land us a very good d-man. then i would trade ference and ward as salary dumps, they both only have one year left on their deals so someone will want them.

not bad....thoughts?
still feels like we are relying on guys not getting injured up front.
Kovalchuk's cap hit is 6.4mil. What would it take to pry him away from Atlanta?
Kessel...and?
oh and read this...

it may not be smart to go over the cap with bonuses...they do "count" (against next year)
is it me or does marc savard look like matt holliday?
I say trade wideman 3.75m he sure is over payed!!!
