Time to Panic?

I don't know.  This team has played like crap since the new year, and it seems they have lost their edge a little.

I'm not saying this because they lost against Philly, but they blew leads to New Jersey and St. Louis and they haven't been playing with the lead lately.  The offense has gone down hill and the days when we could role 4 consistent lines seems to be over.

I really think the offense is a bigger issue than the defense.

We need some bigger bodies ala Eric Cole or Keith Tkachuk or even Chris Neill.

Philly was much more dominate than the bruins. they hit more and were the hungrier team. Bruins mangement better do something

Having Lucic in the line up helps. 2 games without him and no one is hitting.

We have to make a trade. And for all those..." One bad game and you jump off the wagon" SHUT UP !! Like mentioned the new year has been a different B's team.

Axelson, Fernandez, Kessel....can all go in my opinion !! Get some guys with balls and heart !!

Axelson, well he is a 4th liner...but here 1st line P.P. !! Kessel skates like hell and then does nothing with it, his 1 move is quickly getting old. Fernandez has gone straight down hill in the last 10 games....Rask is a better option at this point. Thomas is going to play more anyway.

Management has to move some guys to get some new blood...to comfortable and lazy right now !!

You can't use a d-man on the top line. (Hunwick) Bad move. Boston played w/ no urgency. I hope PC ws watching????

Another pussy-played game by a pussy-laden team. The Bruins may have big bodies, but they play much too soft & passive. No drive, no energy, no attitude but plenty of fuck-all. The Flyers simply wore the Bruins down and the Bruins willingly obliged. A soon-to-be 2nd or 3rd place team primed for a 1st round exit. I now know why Julien was fired by the Devils with 3 games to go. He can't or does not know how to save a sinking ship.

Relax all! The Bruins are playing teams that need to win to get in the playoffs. The bruins will be rested and not overworked like all other teams fighting to get in. This team is good and with the right minor moves we will be better come playoff time. I want first place to avoid the Caps and Devils. Lets just wait and see this losing streak will be over soon.

Hey Moron I bet you have half the heart Kessel has you fuckin bender. Get off his back. Ya pj sucks and shouldnt be on the power play thats a given. RElax guys every team hits rough patches. I would rather have it happen now then game seven in a playoff series. Ya we need to make moves but stop callig for players like kessel and bergy to be shipped because it isnt their faults. Fucken Bandwagon Fans

kessel is not the problem at all, i think he has been playing well. there is no question we play to soft, we need to get tougher.

just because nobody else will say it, wheeler krejci, and wideman have all played terrible lately, they need to get it going again.
axe can not play for this team, he is way to passive, he needs to be scratched for playoffs.

claude needs to chabge things up, get bergy off the point on the powerplay please, claude still needs to learn how to change things up.
i would love to see bitz bring energy to the team, he is a fourth line player, he needs to bring more grit, we cant rely on thornton to do it all. i mean chara had to be the one to address the hartnell shit tonight, thats not good.

we dont need to make any major moves, but i would love them to bring in some more heart, because we lost lots of that, sadly.

O.K. Sorry .....didn't even realize the jest. HEART then get some HEART !! This is to express comments and it seems all you anonymous are all the hockey genius' !

Why isn't it Kessel's fault....who's is it then ??

Don't get me wrong...I commend Kessel for everything he has gone through and overcome.....doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion on him.

I won't write in here anymore....seems too many babies can't take criticism or an opinion different then their own !

Wow...what comical relief after a bad game.

Fire Julien, trade Kessell, trade Bergeron, scratch PJ...anything else?

Even if the Bruins make a move, guess what, your all going to be stuck with most of this "shitty" first place team. A team that is overacheiving and ahead of its development stages should not be dismantled becuase all the fans think the Bruins can win the Cup, RIGHT NOW.

I think they can win the Cup. But it will happen when they are ready. You dont destroy a good team to force the issue. Thats not how you build a team.

Maybe the Krecji line has sucked lately. Maybe we can blame Phil for a lack of goals, thus losing some marginal games. As someone else pointed out, we have been playing desperate teams when points are a premium.

If they can get back into form before playoffs, which I suspect they will, we should have a better playoff run than any Joe T team.

The Bruins awesome play and first place success should not be taken for granted. Were they not predicted to miss the playoffs? As much as I knew they would make the playoffs, 93 points in 64 games is not something I have witnessed, I think ever in 20+ yrs of watching Bruins hockey.

Calm down, enjoy the team we have, and hope they turn it around soon.

Go Bruins.

To answer your question Matt; NO.

It is not time to panic. Should we add some scoring depth, or improve on D? Sure, but at what cost. That is what PC is weighing out. You dont flippantly ditch team assets for some apparent "greener grass". Not every deadline deal works out for a team.

For good measure, I will post my favorite quote for you all again to take in and consider. This quote was from a Boston sports writer and was referring to Bruins fans. You (i hope).

Does anyone remember what the players said was the reason they played so well at the end of the year and playoffs last year?

Not making a deal at the deadline! It built up their confidence and chemistry and team unity

it's just a slump. every team has one...julien will whip these guys back into shape in no time. we're still first in the east by a bit, and first in the northeast by a mile. let these guys iron-out bugs (and maybe showcase potential trade bait - hunwick as a winger to show versatility? fernandez (although he didn't help the cause last night)...pj on the pp?)

if somehow we package pj and get some bigshot winger back, all you dinglenuts will go to the next game st louis visits boston with your pj jerseys and give him the standing ovation when chia presents him and his hot wife with his commemorative photo and puck.
check this: pj, hunwick, fernandez, colbourne and a couple picks for heatley, gerber and a utility player. worst trade of all time...

The Bruins got out-played last night. So what! Is Kessel to blame? Yes! Is Thornton to blame? Yes! Fernandez? Bitz? Savard? Axelsson? Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! It was the whole team that is to blame, not just one guy! They all looked flat last night, especially in the third!

What they need to do, is play mean! Like they were doing at the beginning of the year. Hartnell should have had his head ripped off last night, but nobody "really" did it! Sure, Chara shoved him a round a bit. But Hartnell did his job.... he got under the team's skin and took them off their game. Personally, I would liked to have seen Kobasew or even Savard grab him and throttle him. Why? Cause then the rest of the team takes notice! Remember the Dallas game??!!

They do need to get tougher. Does that mean to send Bitz down and bring up Reich? Sure Reich is not going to pot many goals, but he will rip a head off if he gets the chance.

Personally, I'm shocked at the love affair that Claude has with not just Axelsson, but Hnidy too! Why isn't Hunwick playing on defense? Put him where he belongs! Like someone else mentioned... change the lines up! Put Ryder up with Kessel and Savard! Put Karsums in with Wheeler and Krejci. Shake some things up if they are getting "too comfortable"!

Birdman.... you have every right to make an opinion. I just think some people took the "balls" comment to heart with the cancer he had. Regardless, he needs to work harder as well. Sometimes, I think both Kessel and Wheeler try to say, "watch me, watch what I can do!!" and then they lose the puck trying to dance into the other end, rather then passing it off.

As for who would I trade first.... Bergeron or Kessel? As much as I love both guys.... it is a no brainer.... Bergeron! Kessel is our best scorer.... Bergeron is on the third line behind Savard and Krejci.

Pronger is off the board, so they say? GREAT!! Leopold is gone! Fine! Look at Morris for a bigger deal..... or Recchi for a minor one. I'm still not sold on Cole or Antropov. And with Burke wanting a 1st for Antropov? No thank you.

And finally.... PJ is not going to waive his no trade clause to go to any other team. Unless PC puts him on waivers..... he is here, whether we like it or not! UGH!!
