Question Mark Players

Not 100% confident in these players?

Peter Schaefer-This guy played great in the playoffs, but in the regular season he played with no heart it seemed.  Will he be a 10-20-30 guy or be a 20-25-45 guy we expected.  I have high hopes for Schaefer and was really excited when we got him.  I really feel like he will do well this season after getting a year under his belt in Boston.

Manny Fernandez-Can we get anything for our 9 million dollar investment?  I really also had high hopes for this guy last year, but a knee injury derailed any hopes of that.  As much as I like Thomas, and he showed me a lot last season, a tandem of both these guys could be extremely valuable.  Think of Giguere/Bryzgalov, Hasek/Osgood, Khabibulan/Huet.  Fernandez should have a good season, because if he plays well, a contract could be at hand for him and if he sucks, well he could be out of the NHL.

Phil Kessel-Pressure?  Yeah, and a ton of it.  This kid showed us a lot in the playoffs, and after 2 decent seasons, he really needs to be more consistent, and take his game to the next level.  I am looking for 20-30 goals and 20-30 assists at least.  He is still only 20, so don't forget that.

Patrice Bergeron-One question.  Will the injury effect him?

Your thoughts?

i think bergeron might be a little timid at the start but if he can get off flying i expect him to be fine...as for schaef...i expect him to fall on his face i learned that expecting much out of a guy a team gave up for shean donovan just isnt going to amount to anything and hopefully manny can atleast be healthy and have a good tandem with tt and manny

Ok Bergeron is 100 percent healthy and I doubt he will be scared going into the Boards. If Kessel was like most other NHL Prospect this would be his rookie season. Just keep on developing Phil.

Schaefer yes! Plenty of replacements if "he" doesn't want it!

Manny is just being Manny.

I think that Bergeron will come out flying. He has been working so hard for so long to get back. I think he has defeated his mental demons, and he won't be shying away from anything. Look for him to have trouble down the stretch, though since he started training months ago. He stands risk of getting burned out.

Bergeron will get smarter as does any player in any sport. I see him starting out some what slow and working in to it, time will heel the rest. As for the rest of the team I think we bruins fans will be doing alot of cheering this year. Keep your head up and skate like hell!! go bruins so long from michigan.

Bergeron is not going to get "burned out" because he started training early.

Many rehabbing players put in extra time before camp to come back, This is common in the NHL.

Players who are in the prime of their careers understand the high caliber level that they need to maintain, if they want to continue their success. Bergeron merely understands this well.
