The 6th sense

Anyone else just feel its going to happen?  I felt the same way in 2006 when the Bruins signed Chara and Savard.  I knew it was coming for some reason.  I feel the same way about Hossa.  It just makes too much sense.  It just does.  Tell me all about Ryder and Redden you want, but Hossa makes just too much sense.

Unless he gets some CRAZY offer from Vancouver or Detroit, I expect him to be a Bruin.  I can't tell you why.  I know they need to move some salary, but I just sense it.  I can see it now, Bruins win the Hossa sweepstakes, sign all-star to 7 year, 54 million dollar deal.

I've been feeling it too as I also felt in 2006. I'll tell you about Ryder... HE SUCKS! Ok maybe that's not quite accurate, but he's sort of the Habs version of a Glen Murray from last season. He lost his 2nd line wing spot to one of the Kostitsyns and was frequently a scratch for the Habs in the playoffs for Latendress or Kostopolus. Yes he's young, but after last season signing him would be quite a risk. Theres my rant on Ryder since every time I see someone slip his name into their plans my blood begins to boil. Hopefully Peter will throw some serious cash at Hossa and Savard can allocate several of his 70+ assists to him next season. and also hopefully Bergy is [mentally] ready for next season I remember hearing he was having difficulties watching his teammates dig pucks out of the corners with a heavy back/forecheck pressing. If it all comes together I'm projecting a serious run to the cup finals or at least the conference finals next season. (plus I'm part Slovakian so Chara and Hossa will make me very happy :))

I get the feeling Vancouver will overpay for Hossa. 9 mill a year, like ek is saying it could go too. And Hossa will be blown away and sign with the canucks.

Then we should go after redden and ryder.

I'm just hoping beyond hope that Chia has a backup plan if we DON'T get Hossa. (and a good one at that). Not a wait forever for Modano to decide and lose out on every FA out there. I'm hoping 12:01, Hossa signs, somewhere.

If the bruins really wanted Hossa, why wouldn't they have traded for his "rights" like Tampa did with Malone and others?

Hopefully because Chara convinced him to sign with the B's already.

They haven't traded for Hossa because pitt wants to much in return. I agree with Matt you have too many factors that are positive for the Bruins to sigh Hossa.
