Melrose

According to ESPN, Barry Melrose could be the next head coach in Tampa Bay. He said that it has never been a secret that he has wanted to coach in the NHL. I am sure that an offical annoucement will be made after the playoffs.

Speaking of Barry Melrose, what do you all think about him with Don Cherry?

it's summer...there's not much happening. i hate reading forecasts about next year, etc when it is still so early.

want mine? fernandez retires. thomas plays a good year, we trade him to vancouver with axelsson and krejci for the sedin sisters. we boards the auld-express straight to the golf course with rask riding the pine.

rask has a decent rookie year, then eventually breaks-out and has a strong sophomore campaign. 3 vezinas and 2 cups later, we trade him to the blackhawks for 10 titanium hockey sticks where he plays 26 games over 2 seasons and retires due to injury.

glen murray becomes GM.

I have been watching Rask the whole season in Providence and I have not seen much to think that he is going to do well with stints in b-town.
