Two positives from the night

No nothing that the Bruins did. However, Montreal and Ottawa both lost tonight so they did not pick up any additional points on the Bruins. Montreal stays at 81 while Ottawa remains with 80. The Bruins currently have 76. I don't even want to get into the terrible performance the Bruins displayed tonight. They need to respond tomorrow versus Florida.

At the end of the night, it's just a loss.

Tomorrow; two points.

We got outscored 10-2 in 1 loss. That is still better then getting outscored 10-2 over a 3 game losing streak isn't it!? Tonight will be a real test of this teams durability.

So who would be a good first-round match for the B's in the first round?
I think the best case scenario would be meeting Carolina. If they can hold-off Washington for first in their division, the bruins would likely see them first round. i think ideally we would want the Rangers first round, but it is unlikely that both teams will finish in a position to meet.

Boston hasn't had the best luck against Carolina, but I think in the playoffs, it would be a far different landscape. Even more since they are without Rod the Bod who is a playoff machine.

Personally I think Thornton, Reich and Lucic will be players to watch in the playoffs. They will be unsung heroes...punishing opposing players and earning slim victories for the Bruins.
