Sunday's Rumours

Spector's web site is reporting the following:

-Islanders and Hurricanes are interested to Brad Stuart. Spector's didn't saw any truth in the Stuart-Zhitnik rumour.
- Oilers could be intesrested in D Paul Mara or D Brad Stuart.
- Nabokov is not going anywhere (non-trade clause ) and Burke is not on a hurry to trade any of his goaltenders.
- The Kings offered D Brian Sopel in exchange of F Glen Murray. The offer was turned down by PC.
- It's believed that Philadelphia offer G Robert Esche ( Ouch !!! ) to the Bruins.

Regarding the rumors going around that CP is getting ready to make a trade because he made some 4th line roster moves: there may be some truth to it because he did say he needed space on the roster.

But I think there is another component being overlooked. It seems to me that Lewis has abandoned his earlier line strategy in favor of rolling four scoring lines. In that light, their 4th line moves make a lot of sense.

yo in your "Games this Season" you have Boston beating Toronto 4-3.. it should be Ottawa, and plus Boston will never beat Toronto so how could you even mess that up. :P

Good points Greg. I know that some peoples would like to see more toughness on the team. I agree but those guys should the ability to score too. Trade wise; i don't know if Chiarelli will move or not. The market for a goaltender seems pretty thin and if we agree that our defense can welcome an upgrade; i don't know where they can find it. Good defenseman are not easy to acquire and that's probably that's why Stuart is so popular...
