Philadelphia in Trouble?

After a disastrous 9-1 to defeat against Buffalo, it seems that something will start to move in Philadelphia. Ed Snider, the owner, made it clear at the beginning of the season: This season will not be the same as the last one, which means that everyone is on the edge, including Clarke. Well, last night and after being challenge by his coach to perform, Esche and his team, collapsed in a very fashionable way. Philadelphia's defense looked slow, the team was overskated by Buffalo and there's was not a bit of passion on the ice for Philadelphia. GM change? Coach change? Trade for a legitimate #1 goaltender? Keep an eye on the Flyers. Something could happen very soon.

Goaltending is not the issue in Philly when the "team" has an average of 2.4 goals a game for. Your "star" player gets taken out by a stiff like Peters and the only person that steps in is Knuble. Esche stood on his head in the first period, couldnt expect him to keep that up the whole game. Their first problem is Heart, then you take a look at their power play which is a dismal 4 for 45.

I agree with what you said. I didn't blame Esche for last night, it was a team collapse. The major fault of Clark was always to pretend that his goaltending was fine which is/was not. This team cannot win with Esche and a backup goalie in the playoffs. Clarke, for a decade, was unable to find that goaltender that's why i think, when Snider said that he wants result, he was lookin at Clarke, first. Last night, i agree, Philadelphia were awful ( like the B's?) on the PP. Your point regarding the lack of heart is excellent and i wonder what is the reason of this lack motivation....

Philly in trouble? Maybe. How about Boston in trouble? Yes

Boston will be in trouble after their homestand if they finish it with a 1-8-1 record. Considering that they played Calgary, Ottawa, Buffalo (2) and Montreal; you can roll the dice and wait for the result.

We're in trouble already considering were already 1-3-1 and we haven't played any of those nasty teams you just said. It could be a very long year.
