Fixes?

Don't take these seriously, but if things don't shape up, here are a few things that could fix the team.

-Sign Brian Leetch. He would help the PP for small money, and would help the mediocre defense out.

-Sign Jason Allison. Another PP guy. If he were to come for small money and play PP role.

-Trade Marco Sturm. Yes, you heard me. I say try to trade him and a pick for a top of the line winger.

-Trade for Nabokov, Giguere or Biron. Look, if Toivonen and Thomas keep letting late and soft goals in, this team will go nowhere.

No one will want Marco Sturm. We wouldn't be able to get a 3rd line winger for him. He has shown nothing this season and the last 10 games of last season seemed to disappear. Leetch and Allison both awful ideas, Leetch being old and a defensive liability and Allison being too slow. Just what we need another slow guy and another defenseman who cant play defense.

Before adding anyone, PC have to find out what kind of team he have. After 5 games, this team is puzzeling everyone. There's no way you will be able to get a guy like Biron since he is in our conference....

Regarding Sturm, people always trade for theit future production. Strum had a good season last year. it's not because he had a bad start that, suddenly, he become an idiot. That said, a trade is not a solution right now.

Sturms future is on the decline. It is sad to say but last year was by far the peak of his career.

"Sturms future is on the decline."

Could I borrow that crystal ball you are using to see the future? I'd like to use it to bet on some horses.

What utter nonsense. I for one am getting really tired of trading away players only to see them suddenly become 10x better (and I'm not talking about Thornton--I was glad to see him go). Hell, look at Rolston... A No. 1 center. Let's get the best out of the guys we have for once!

Put Sturm with a good center and he could be great. Great end to end speed and is good on the move. Put him with Marc Savard and he's just another bum. He needs to be back with Bergeron.

rolston was not traded....just a technicality. but i prefer to use facts in an arguement.

I like the idea of signing Allison, I'm from Ontario, so I as much as I hate the Leafs, it's next to impossible to watch the odd Leaf game. Allison had a really good season last year in Toronto and he barely played 5 on 5. I say signing him for a 1 year deal, for 1 million, throw him on the 4th line and put him on the PP. If all goes well, he boosts the PP production, if not, then you cut him loose and Mr. Jacobs is out a million dollars. Either way, it's worth a shot. It's a risk free signing in my eyes.

Mack, it's a good idea but i think that Allison is asking for a 3 per contract. That's hefty for a powerplay specialist. If there's any move, i expect PC to look at a goaltender, most likely in SJ or Anaheim...

IDIOTS!!!!!!!!
lets sign Allison and Leetch. Bring Ted Donato out of retirement. Trade Bergeron, Kessel, and Sturm for Gil, Owen Nolan, and Anson Carter. Then we'll have the slowest team in the history of the NHL.

Our goaltending is not our problem. Also, St-Louis was by no means Thomas's fault and you know it.

Neither Nabakov or Biron will help because our D will leave them hanging just like they do with Thomas and Toivenen.

Agreed, Thomas is the only reason they got a point in St.Louis

It's not saying much.... It is St. Louis, aka the worst team in the NHL. Wait I think we might have the throne to that name now.
