Islanders 10/14/06

Tonight it is a big game. It is a must win for the Bruins. They should win since NYI sucks, but hey, so does St. Louis.

Keys to winning:

-60 minute game. Have to play the FULL 60 minutes.
-PP unit. They changed it up, and they need to convert to be successful.
-No turnovers in defensive end.
-Scoring from lines 1 and 2.

Prediction:

Bruins-5
Islanders-1

NYI defense is weak, and many are starting to doubt the B's. Look for the offense to explode. I may be a bit optimistic here.

Im really mad Lewis is benching Jurcina in favor of Nathan Dempsey I think that is a horrible move

Hope Hannu has a big game

We finally saw some hustle from Kessel last game and Savard scored. Obviously this teams needs Savard's line to get it together. Sooner the better. I'll be looking to see them have a big game. If that line gets it going along with the PP this will be a tough team to beat.

my oppinion is you will need 10-20 games to start really evaluating what this team might be...hopefully they can tread water while they get their identity...

I agree that the line of Savard have to be more productive. Like you said Greg, 2 goals is not enough in this new NHL. I expect Savard to be more dynamic on the PP.

I don't understand why Jurcina would, will or was benched in the favor of Dempsey especially when he had a tough game against Atlanta. Dempsey proved that he's really a 7th defenseman...

wow, lol, NYI is not a good team, but damn Boston is not doing good. 4-1 is the final, boston better start winning soon, or else your prediction of Boston finishing ahead of Toronto is not even going to be close, let me remind you that Toronto won 5-4 tonight and have earned at least a point in five of their six games, with this being their third win. And theyre coming closer every game to finishing it in regulation rather than going to overtime, lol.
