Bruins closing in on deal?

According to HockeyBuzz,

the Bruins are closing in on a trade. It could be with NJ involving Paul Martin and Glen Murray according to Eklund.

Matt's take: I'll wait and see if a trade actually happens.

I don't think anything will happen until the B's young d get a look at camp. The Devils aren't deep at d right now either, so trading Martin would not make sense unless the had plans to sign Markov.

Paul Martin is young, and a proven talent. He could be the number 2 that we are looking for. Is Martin worth losing Murray? absolutely. Murray and a pick? maybe. Will it happen? probably not.

the B's can't sign Markov without losing Murrays salay. I can't see the devils having the room to sign Markov if they take Glens salary either so I think this rumor is what it is, a rumor

Hard to beleive they would have Murray on the newspaper ads for Bruins tickets if they were actively trying to trade him.

I'm pretty sure Joe Thornton was in an ad or two before he was traded.
