The Bruins are negotiating with Brad Marchand, who is currently competing in the Canada-Russia Super Series. Marchand would be subject to the standard three-year entry-level deal. - This according to Fluto Shinzawa of the Globe.
The news was made public during a season ticket holders only "state of the Bruins" event held on Tuesday at the Garden. Marchand has played 3 seasons in the QMJHL between the Moncton Wildcats and Val-d'Or Foreurs. He was a 3rd round pick (71st overall) for the B's in the 2006 draft.

This guy has a tremendous work effort and will be a solid player for the Bruins in years to come. We are about 2 years away from having a great team, we'll still have Savy, freed up Murray contract (if not traded by then...) and Marchand, Rask, Lucic, and Hamill will be solid contributors with little cap hit.
The next Brad Boyce. Only this kid can skate and hes not affraid to go in the corners. Future 2nd liner maybe 1st. Depends on how he carries himself like most kids.
From all of his penalty trouble in the Super Series, and the descriptions I have heard of him, he sounds a lot like Saavy. Little, great passer, lightening in a bottle. Sign em up!
You can also put any Patrick Marleau wishes/rumors to rest. He resigned with the Sharks today for two years 12.6 mil.
Dirty Well it could still happen. Picture Murray and a draft pick or prospect if theres enough cap space.
