On Board

I'd like to say thanks to Matt for bringing me on board with this site. I'm looking forward to talking anything Bruins and hopefully a successful '07-'08 campaign.

I'll be posting something up soon and I'll be more than happy to take on all criticism!

Jha welcome, I am relative new as a reader. My question to you is, do you know the latest in the Bruins-Thrashers trade possibility?

I wouldn't put much stock into anything right now. It looks like all smoke and mirrors. Spectorshockey.net puts it perfectly by saying "Chiarelli would be run out on a rail if he traded Bergeron."

Bergy is an unbelievable young talent and has so many good years in front of him still. Don't let last years numbers mess with you.

These rumours are baseless, for the most part. It's possible that the B's and Atl are talking but not for Hossa. Can you imagine the amount of good offers Atl will receive if they decide to shop Hossa. They could have way much better then Murray ans Axe as a return.

Last I heard its still on stove but its pre-heat until camp gets going. Then P.C. will evaluate if he can afford to move 3 NHL roster players for 1 with prospect exchanging. Kovalchuk Ive been hearing because they want to resign Hossa

I believe that question was directed to the new blogger, JHA. I agree, we need some info on this new blogger. I followed a link on his profile and found out that he is a goalie, has something to do with radio, and I think he might be rumored to be involved in a trade with the Thrashers for an elite blogger and 2 picks to be named later. My opinion of him really hinges on his opinions of Axelsson.

punkrockelvis, nicely done I like to see that you checked out my site. I actually do a sports talk radio show at Tufts University every Thursday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. We talk everything Boston sports, including Bruins. If you want to call in the number's 617-627-3800. Yes, I also am a goalie too. I play in the NESHL around Boston, nothing spectacular but it's a good time.

Anyway, if your opinion of me hinges on my thoughts concerning PJ, I'll be happy to tell you. I think he's one of the best defensive forwards out there and an excellent tool for the Bruins to hang on to. He's been an excellent player for the Bruins in his role. Obviously, he's not going to score 30 goals anytime soon, but it's the things he does away from the puck that is impressive. Is he untouchable? No. But, I'd like to see him stay in Boston though.

JHA, what are the call letters, and how far is Tuft's broadcast range? I work in Cambridge, so I may be able to catch it on the work truck from time to time. I Doubt it reaches my house in Quincy, though.

I play in the NESHL, too, but I play down in the Walpole/Foxboro league for a team called Havoc (defenseman).

PJ for president.

91.5 WMFO - You should definitely be able to get it in Cambridge. It reaches out to 128 and into downtown Boston before the tunnel.

You can also listen online at www.wmfo.org - We're on the air today from 4-6 p.m.

You can also listen through iTunes if you click on Radio, Public, Tufts University Radio

I encourage everyone to listen in and call if you want to talk anything Boston sports.

can you give us names that are being discussed between the teams.

beantown, angry bear is full of himself. I don't see the harm in telling who your source is, it's not like you have to give a name. Just say it's a friend, a player, etc.

You are a liar!

some names that have come up have been Hossa for Murray and two draft picks.

My source told me earlier today actually, that a deal is in place that would send Murray to Atlanta for two picks and a roster player, most likely Hossa. Should be announced within the next couple of days.

By the way my source is a person who works in the Bruins' arena.

Angry bear, I'm not sure if you meant to word it the way you did but from reading what you said, The Bruins will trade Murray to Atlanta and in return receive two draft picks AND Hossa?

I'm going to assume you meant to say the Bruins would send Murray AND two draft picks to ATL for Hossa?

I'll believe it when I see it. Plus I'd be interested to see what these draft picks would be. Hossa is an excellent offensive talent but I'd be more than happy to open camp with the current B's roster and if they struggle, then make a move.

I thought you said it was Kovalchuk that was being moved? is there still a deal on the table for Kovalchuk like there is hossa.

so you werent talking to me and telling me to get a life... lol because if you have connections great you can contribute. i was just confused because you said first it was most likely kovalchuk getting moved then it changed to hossa. was just wondering... but i believe you for the simple fact that i dont know what satisfaction you would get by lying to people you dont know in a blog that talks about a great hockey team. (not recently but they are among the greats. i am not going to point the blame but jacobs is and is not at fault. yes he was cheap when we were close to winning it all but he has spent money as of late.
