Bruins 3, Islanders 1

Jeff Hoggan had 2 goals, 1 shorthanded and 1 even strength. Kobasew had a PP goal. 4 fights, which is great. Chara, and Thornton got into a scrum. Great to see the B's have some grit. I didn't get to watch the game because the video on bruins.com wasn't working for me. Thomas did not allow a goal for 1 and a half periods.

Chris Campoli scored on Tim Thomas. It was Jordan Sigalet who never let in a goal in a period and a half.

I was able to catch the game via CentreIce Online from the beginning of the second and there were a few things I really enjoyed. #1 When the announcer said "Chara...up the boards to Thornton..." there was a chill. #2 I did not see any Bruin backing away from anything, even the slightest of scrums. Chara dropped the gloves to show he meant it when he said he will fight. Thornton dropped the gloves cuz that's what's he's there for. And how about Lucic's KO (even though it was bad when you hit someone who is already down). #3 With half a team on the ice, they really played like it was a real game. Let me tell you, this team will be better (and that's all you need to be in this league, better). Better gets you into the playoffs, and better let's you win some upsets. Keep in mind, the Isles did play the day before, the Isles did not have everyone in their lineup and it is preseason. I have been watching every Bruins game for over 8 years (following for over 20) and I can tell you it was a positive sign. Thursday against the Devils and Saturday on LeafsTV will give us a better indication. And I love the new jerseys.

Stop dreaming. You don't trade an excellent veteran because a rookie look good at your training camp. This is plain stupid.

I have to agree there is no reason to dump PJ, the market wouldnt give us too much based on the type of player he is...no one is going to put a premium on a defensive forward. PJ has a value to the Bruins and can still contribute to this team. Some nights in past seasons he seems to be the only one out there consistently skating.

yeah the only thing consistant about his skatin is that he cant skate.

Pj is an excelent player, and for his price it's a deal! considering how much other players are getting for simular roles.
why the dislike for PJ? he comes up with big plays when we need em,and why else would he be a lock for the Swedish nat team?
love him while we have em, cause when we don't, he's going to be the one stoping our guns...lol

I'm not saying that he is the next one, I don't think anyone is considering him to be an MVP but as far as a role player he is a great deal, his skatinG is consistent because he is out there hustling for the puck or the play. I remember a few years ago they had put a tracker in Samsonov's helmet and tracked where he had been during the game...P.J. covers more ground in less ice time, now before you jump on the fact that this was two years ago, I would be interested to see what it's like now but I doubt he has lost too much of a step.

he covers more ice than anyone cuz hes always out of position and roaming around even when he isnt on special "shadow" duties.
