2-way contract so it's a depth signing All teams sign guys like these and all teams need them. Not all signings by any team will be a top six foward or a #1 D-man.

2-way... lets hope most of it is providence. I guess he's a good reserve in case of injury... I guess.

That's about as cheap as you can get. He has a little NHL experience, so I guess it's a good guy to have around for cheap.

Totally unrelated to this post, I hear that the sharks are looking for a young goaltender and a defenseman... they have plenty of top forwards that I'd love to see in black and gold (Bernier, Marleau, Clowe, Michalek, Pavelski). Something to ponder.

I'd trade Axelsonn, a 1st round pick and Wideman for Bernier, pavelski and Clowe

I'd give up Hannu / Murray for Clowe and a pick. Also would move a prospect D if they threw in Marleau and we could tie him up for Savard/Berg money.

Hannu Toivonen traded to the blues for Carl Soderberg

nhlline.ca says he will make $495, 000 at the NHL level instead of 475K... Just thought i'd add that in there.
