WOW !!! Feel the buzz in Bruinville !!
I like Allen. Very good defensively.
Very good but he got a 2 way deal. Police insurance...
Oh, I got goosebumps......BORING!!!!!
Very good? He's on a two way deal where he will play in Providence all season. He dressed for a whopping 31 games last year picking up 3 assists and only being -1. He is also 27 yrs. old Look, if this is the kind of deal that actually generates enthusiasm from Bruins fans then no wonder the GM isn't doing anything. When Boston starts going after guys with character, speed and durability then things will change. I actually feel bad for Julien. What is he supposed to do with this bunch?
ok. so there isn't much left. i was looking at what is available, and i think we could target a top 4 D-man and a defensive forward in snagging brent sopel and jan bulis. sopel made 2.4 and bulis made 1.3 last year. there is always o'neil, but frankly i'm not a fan. he's not so good on the defensive side of things. brent sopel would be a great acquisition. thoughts?
Very good that he signed a 2 way deal...
Very good. Yes. Very good DEFENSIVELY. He is already in the system. He was one of VERY few bright spots on the roster last year. In a defensive defenseman you don't look for point gereration. He was -3 +/- in 31 games - in case nobody noticed, that is VERY good compared to the rest of last year's team. I am sure he didn't break the bank. He'll play well over half the games if not all. While it doesn't really excite me, resigning Bobby Allen is a good move.
just another zzzzzzzz move
The Bruins have to learn how to spend their money wisely.
Any new news at all?
I certainly hope the only new news isn't that Dale Arnold is no longer doing the home games...
I like the Sopel thing...I really beleive their defense is suspect. Now with Fernandez, who played on the most defensive team since the Canadians in the early 70's, the Bruins will need a huge effort out of mostly average players.......I honestly don't think the Bruin management have a hot clue as to what they are doing. I understand the choices are limited, but prioritize what you need and then go after it. Why waist money on good AHL players who will never be starters in the NHL?
