Oilers give Vanek an offer sheet

And could this offseason become more stupid....why don't we offer 50 million for 7 years for a one time 40 goal scorer? Wait...the Oilers did.

12:30 press conference in Buffalo. If I am Buffalo I would not match. 4 1st rounders...and 7+ million a season is just a bad deal.

There are a few rumors of the B's possibly offering Michaeal Ryder an offer sheet.

I don't usually comment on rumors but I would love to see Ryder as a Bruin!

Yeah so would I. I mean the Habs have some cap issues, but I think they would likely match. I am thinking something in the 3.5 range. I say this rumor because of the media saying the B's could sign a rival teams RFA to an offer sheet. Parise as well could be that guy.

That is too much for Vanek. He was perfectly suited for that Buffalo team which has since fallen apart. I doubt he'll hit those kind of numbers without the support and speed that surrounded him in Buffalo.

And as for Ryder or any other top 6 winger... BRING EM ON!

Just to set the record straight check a few posts back and check out who was the first to metion going after Ryder. Just to piss off the Habs. I also mentioned Sean Avery in the comment. Let's see if it all turns out...
