I respect PC idea of staying under the cap, but we finished last year in the 13th.
We got Manny Fernandez okay great now go get a defenseman and a top six forward we do have money to spend.
If PC had some "you know whats" this is what we could look like:
Sturm-Savard-Shannhan
Bochenski-Bergeron-Kessel
Axellson-Donovan-Kobasew
Thorton-Mowers-Chistov, Walter, or Krejci
Chara-Ward
Ference-Aaron Miller
Alberts-Wideman, Stuart
Trade Muzz free up some space even if your getting a draft pick and prospect.
Trade Hannu for the same maybe a forward or try and get a puck moving defenseman instead of Miller.
Other players I would look at is Darren McCarty or Martin Gelinas for out third line duties.
But come on the team we have here cannot not win the Eastern Confrence. Sorry PC.

WTF is Chia thinking???? It is really sad but I think it could be that players just are not interested in coming here. What a freaking mess....
The ONLY way this "MESS" is cleaned up is to change the owner and I don't think that will happen in our lifetime....so sad!!!!!!

I'm getting antsy here too, but, lets give Chiarelli some credit here. There is no way the Bruins are done or content with what they have now. With the cap going up 10 mill more this year something has got to give. Obviously, the clock is ticking here and the FA pool is getting smaller and smaller.
But, Chiarelli has got to have some sort of plan here. There's no way Shawn F'in Thornton is the only FA they get.

Shanahan isn't coming to Boston. He's said several times he's either playing on broadway or not at all.
This team is seriously f'd up. Chia has done nothing (IMHO) to make this team better this year. If his hands are tied so badly that he cannot sign free agents then we are much worse off than I expected.
This ia a huge problem. the boston bruins look like a minor league team. pc sould at least try and make some moves or release a statement that says how his hands are tied.
I don't know which is worse, the ridiculous moves that the Celtics make or the lack of moves by the Bruins. Until Jeremy Jacobs ( pronounced C. Montgomery Burns), sells or dies (is it wrong to hope that he takes Sinden and O'Connell with him), this team and its fans are in for some long, cold winters. We've become the Mapleleafs under Harold Ballard. It's a shame.....
