so.. some pretty impressive names on this list. Can Nylander be had (again) for short $$? The Bs do not really have alot of cap space left but Smyth or Souray on D and Nylander or Drury on O would certainly make the Bs a better team. Add 1 each D-O and trade for a #1 goalie and the Bs could actually make a respectable go at it.

I think the focus should be on some gritty players. I love the way Aaron Asham plays, I like Shawn Thorton or Adam Mair. I'd like to trade for Raffi Torres as well. I think getting Guerin or Tchatuk (sp?) would be a smart move if we need to replace Murray o even to join line 1. They are avail for somewhat short money and they'd be a great PR move for hometown boys. I think we could also sign a vet goalie that could push Thomas and Hannu

Tkachuk would be major mistake. Fat, lazy and overpaid. He peaked 10 years ago.

Gritt is key. I like your Guerin idea. I woul also consider Souray or Hannan. Mike Peca would be a nice compliment on a 3rd line with PJ Axe.

How about adding Slava Kozlov, Michael Handzus, or Danny Markov?
That adds offence (Kozlov who played well with Savard in ATL), a solid defensive forward with offensive potential (Handzus, which whould free up Axelsson to play as a strictly defensive forward which he is good at) and a take the body, heavy hitting defenseman (Markov - who I think would pair well with a younger D-man that we have now).
