B's edge Capitals 3-2

It could have been another case of " same old story ", last night, in Washington where the B's blown, again, another early lead but finally closed the deal in shootout to collect a precious 2 points. Here's the heroes and zeroes of last night's game.

Zeroes:
- Paul Mara: -10 for the season; a brainless play, last night, who lead to a SH goal. The sooner he will be traded; the better it will be.
- The entire roster for, once again, filling up the penalty box. Will you ever learn guys?
- Dave Lewis: Make players accountable for their bad penalties/dumb plays; especially when those plays are coming from veterans...

Heroes:
- The PK unit did an incredible job to stop the bleeding.
- Tim Thomas: It was not pretty but he gave the team a chance to win. Good job ! The team should help him by trading Mara...
- Marc Savard and Phil Kessel: Those guys are really picking up. That's all good news for the team. Nice touch from Kessel on the first goal.
- Chivtov: One point in his first game. If he plays with skilled players; he will have is share of points...

worse win of the season? capitals blew a lot of open nets. tim thomas stole a game while the bruins tried to give it away in the second....

i give lewis credit for calling a time out when it was needed and putting together the lines that i had hoped for. also his game plan held alexander o in check.

huge game from brad stuart with team leading 5 hits and a goal while +2 with 3 blocked shots in 26 minutes.

win tonight and their 500......

Even if it was not pretty; i think that, at this point, only results count.

First of all I think the Bruins came out playing great, which doesn't happen often. I don't think they know how to play with a lead since they never come out strong. I think Thomas played good, not great. I think you see a differnt team when Brad Staurt is in the line up. He takes a couple mins. off of Chara's play which is good because the big guy can be playing 30 mins a game. I was very impressed with Tenkrat and Chivtov, the two have brought energy. They have also aloud the team to have a 3rd line that can score unstead of 2 check lines. I also give praise to Lewis who went for the win in the OT playing 3 forwards and 1 d. I like how he put Mowers out there in OT who showed some jump in his legs when Washington was just playing their normal guys.
