A few firsts

Congratulations to Byron Bitz on his first NHL assist in his first NHL game. Bitz played physical and showed some agility for a bigger man. Bitz may stick around even if it is as an extra forward. He finished the game with 4 hits and nearly 10 minutes of ice time while playing on the fourth line.

Martins Karsums back with the big club for his second stint of the season also recorded his first assist. Karsums tipped a shot from Mark Stuart, which then redirected off the skate of Stephane Yelle which resulted in the Bruins second goal. Karsums played a steady game and finished with 9:10 of TOI.

Matt Hunwick caught Justin Williams with his head down coming through the neutral zone. Hunwick leveled Williams with a questionable open ice elbow. Williams chases Hunwick down and the 185 pound defenseman dropped his gloves for the first time as an NHLer. Hunwick with the take down but a draw overall.

The Wheeler, Krejci, Ryder combination is emerging as one of the top lines in the league. The Bruins officially have two number one lines which can both produce offensively and also play sound defensively. Krejci is just a magician with the puck. In his last 24 games he has 13 goals and 24 assists for 37 points and a +22. During that span the Bruins are 20-4-0.

I have been waiting a long time to finally rub it in to the B's. Now I get my revenge this Tuesday.

My Habs came back to beat the Caps (something the Bruins have not done) last night to extend our winning streak. Finally we head to Beantown to lay a beating, phycially, mentally & scoring-wise on your crappy B's.

Revenge is sweet!! 1st place here we come. Bye-bye b's. 6-2 Habs!!

Kiss my Le Butt!!

Take all of your phony All-Stars and join a league you might dominate (AHL). Is Price still playing? Can't believe he made the starting goalie. Did he hurt his groin at home late at night by himself?

Et le blue...I just want to know; Did you enjoy Patrick Roy night as much as the Bruins fans did? A great follow up to a 6-1 murdering, and an injured hab by virtue of Bruins fists. Sweet.

Patrick Roy night....what a great ceremony!!!!!

I mean the one where the Bruins celebrated on Montreal ice...jumping up and down... realizing that the most INSULTING mark of history has been dealt to the arrogant and ignorant habs ALL those HOFers and their dumbfounded fans, and of course Patrick Roy!!!
But then again, it probably reminded him of how he lost to Boston in 5 out of 6 playoff series uring his career!!!

You didnt CRY that night...did you Et Le Blue?

How is Komisarek??? Did the team issue him a mangina patch on his pink practice jersey...so that the habs wont hit him during practice?

What do you got to say about all that you fucktard?

Huh?

8-0 Bruins.

I was reading earlier that the B's could be interested in trading for Keith Tkachuk - not that I wouldn't mind seeing him a B's uniform, I do have some concerns:

1. Has ANY team that has traded for this guy(which happens every year - he'll than go right back to St. Louis after the season) ever won the cup?
2. It seems like EVERY year he is traded the Blues get a whole bunch of draft picks - last year I think they may have even received a 1st rounder - would the Bruins trade a 1st round pick for this guy? I hope not.
3. Is there anything better out there? I'd like to see the B's trade for another forward and a defenseman - Mathieu Schneider from Atlanta might be a good/cheap pick-up. Don't let his stats fool you, that Atlanta team is horrible.

Next posting should be about trades...someone get on that!

I think that the Bruins are in prime position to trade a first round pick, and a prospect or two for a d-man. The thing is the Bruins dont need anything less than a premier puck moving D-man, and there are not going to be a whole lot of quality players worth your hard drafting work for.

The Bruins will see if they are still in first, which i suspect they will, and test the waters to see who is willing to depart with what.

That being said, there is not a whole lot to pick from, and the Bruins highly regard most in the system (except lashoff...) so this trade would come only if they KNEW they could sign someone like Bouwmeester who is not really a puck mover, but they could offer up less for more of a risk like schneider, which is less likely given the thrashers will once again try to rape the bruins like they did last year with hossa.

Yeah, I'm going to touch on some options the Bruins have available to improve their chances to go deep in the playoffs. I'll probably post it Weds or Fri. To answer your question, I have no idea where Matt has been.

Don't trade for Tkachuk !! As a Winnipeger, I watched Tkachuk slowly skate his lazy butt around the Winnipeg Arena many nights. That was when he was 20....now he is even slower. No need to rush any trades, just let things play out for a bit.....lots of time !!

I have to agree with Birdman. As also being from Winnipeg I watched Tkachuk play many times in the old Arena and he was a decent player back then but time catches up to everyone. Tkachuk is a true rental player. He gets traded every year and the next year he returns to the Blues.

Don't do it.
