Globe/Herald Bruins out on Hossa

Not to be a homer, but they are full of crap.  I mean, you can't believe anything or anyone until the player is signed.  Didn't PC want to make a splash?  Wait, were not we the front runners by many.  All of a sudden we are going to sign Ryder?  No.  If Hossa walks for 8 million a season, I will be pissed.  Why didn't you buy out Murray then?  We'll see....

That brings him to 41 years old...I'm a bit skeptical on that aspect of the offer. But I'm still for Hossa.

He'd be silly to walk away from that offer.

Again, Globe and Herald are only fit to wipe your butt with unless you think that the world revolves around the Red Sox and nothing else. They are the last place to go for Bruins news.

How about what's his name from Pheonix? (I can never remember his name, if he wore black & gold I would). Verbata, I think. Almost same numbers as Hossa, but a hell of alot cheaper.

How about a Dman? I like Hainsy. Anyone else?

$100M over 12 years. Gimme a break! $54M over 7 was riduculous, but $100M over 12 is outrageous & absurd!! It will surely scuttle any chances the B's have of establishing some permanence of playoff hockey.

Hossa is a European and will play like Hossa for the first 3, maybe 4 years. After that, things are reversed and he plays like his name is spelled backwards
ASS OH (L).

All I can say Marian, is that if that offer is real, put on your Yashin hat & take the money & run. Line your pockets & ruin the bruins.

WAY TOO LONG! 12 yrs is fine for an Ovechkin, but not for a guy that's 29 years old already. I hope that is not right. You can kiss goodbye to our "young talent" if thats the case, because we won't be able to afford them down the road.

forget hossa sign vrbata for under 4 mil and then get campbell or someone that can move the puck...much rather see 10 mil between 2 quality players that are young than one thats 29 and wants a 12 year contract...get a clue...anything over 7 for this guy is a waste hes going to suck in a few years anyway
