More on Schneider, and my official I know who Eklund is rant

According to KPD, the Ducks may send Mathieu Schneider to the Bruins clearing some cap space.

Now, I don't like this move on two occasions. One, Schneider is 38, and even though he is still talented, he is on his last legs, and secondly, he has a cap hit of 5.625 next season, and I feel the Bruins would be better off spending that money toward Marian Hossa or something. I don't think we will see any major trades prior to the christmas freeze, but after that I think some deals will be made.

And now to my I know who Eklund is. He is Pelle Eklund! I am now 100% sure. Besides my old evidence of his old email address, the name, swedish background, Philadelphia hometown, I now have this. In his latest blog, he talks about going to Shula's Steakhouse (which is amazing by the way) and eating the 48 oz. porterhouse in Chicago. He gives a link of this. Pelle Eklund is listed as under Chicago. It's official. For those who think I am some crazy person, I am just trying to find out who he is because I have always wondered who he was and where he came onto the rumor mill scene.

I also agree Mathieu Schneider would be a bad trade on the bruins part.

Schneider is going no where. Like Burke said, " You trade your free agent signings....who will sign with you next year." He's staying put ! Get Rob Blake for the year !

My two cents: Greatest needs are a puck-moving defenseman and depth at the wing position, preferably a scorer. The Bs are an obvious rumor target b/c of the available cap space, but I dont think PC is in a hurry, and frankly, we've hit the panic button too much in the past.
Schneider is not the answer. The goal is not to take a huge salary just b/c they can.
For Hossa? How about Albie, Kreji, Lashoff and a first- or second-round pick?

Teams looking to deal (for the most part) are all still viable playoff candidates and are looking to upgrade so if everyone wants to upgrade, nothing will get done. Over paid, under performing players on bad teams are the only one s that will be moved as they may be the only ones willing to accept draft picks/prospects.

My vote is nothing will happen any time soon, but I have been wrong before.

I wouldn't give any one for Hossa knowing that Hossa is an UFA and can leave come July. Where are all the Danny Markov rumours? For 2.5/3MM I'd go for that.

There is no reason to trade for marian hossa unless the bruins are willing to cough up 10 million a season to re-sign him in the summer. Another team will definitely put up that kind of money considering the briere, drury and vanek signings last summer.

The B's need defenceman !! Tonight Ottawa showed why they are the best in the East. Boston hung on and Auld plyed great. Wideman 27 minutes !!! Come on, this guy at best is a 4th d-man !! We have Chara a top 2 d-man and then...what ??
Wideman, Ward, Ference, Stuart, Alberts all 4th - 6th d-men. Like it was said earlier don't hit the panic button yet ....but soon ! Here's hoping PC is looking for D. And put Sturm on the first line and put PJ with Kobasew and Metro !!

Chara sucks. He coughs up the puck constantly. Can we trade him? And yes, Ottawa showed they were the better team. But that "accidental" net knocked off the moorings at the end should have been a delay of game penalty.

trade axelsson for anyone

Any person who thinks Axelsson should be traded or thinks that he's an inferior player is an idiot. Go ahead and listen to what any commentator or player around the B's organization says about PJ. This guy constantly gets it done and is one of the best defensive forwards in the game. Get a clue for once.

Another moron hiding behind "anonymous". Obviously, this person (Axelsson hater) knows nothing about the game.

One bad game doesn't mean you get rid of someone like Axelsson !This guy brings a lot to the table.

All PJ haters, start actually watching the Bruins, not just numbers. PJ is invaluable.

The net coming off its moorings is total BS. Meszaros clearly knocked it off. I cant understand how the ref let that go.

Net intentionally knocked off the mooring with under 2 minutes to play = automagic penalty shot. Sounds like a game breaker to me.

I also like the "Oh, but I intended to blow the whistle before the puck crossed the red line" in the first. At least we didn't lose 10-1. And will someone ask KPD to be positive for once? B's suck Joe's the problem, then B's suck cuz Joe was the problem, then B's suck cuz we have no one, then B's suck cuz Lewis' system is not wokring - and this morning, B's will suck any day now we'll start losing. B's are playing better hockey - but no they are not playing great hockey. And I agree we need a D man who can start the play from our end, since we play a lot of the game in our end.

big e, last time i checked the bruins had the third most points in the east, last time i checked thats some damn good hockey. the devils won more games 2 to 1 or 3 to 2 than they won 5 to 0.
