B's/Jackets Deal?
With the Blue Jackets in town this weekend for a Saturday night showdown, WEEI is reporting that the two teams are negotiating a possible "trade for a forward." What this exactly means remains to be seen. However, the Blue Jackets and Bruins are both very much in the thick of their respective playoff races and it would be difficult to say any one team is a seller or buyer.
In my opinion:
Lets just remember that the rumors that you usually hear swirling around are the ones that don't usually come to fruition. I think the Bruins are plenty happy with the way the team is playing right now and will address any trade possibilities to bolster the lineup around the trade deadline.

I agree the B's do look good, however we still need another top D-man. With the money freed up, let's look South to Anaheim !! Schneider or Beauchemin !! That would be sweet. The forwards are starting to click and I wouldn't want to break the chemistry that is forming. How about the Kessel, Lucic, Schaefer line.....love it !

i love how over 2 weeks ago it was promised this site would be updated...yet the standings aren't even posted, the schedule is from 2 weeks ago, the FA signing they want/dont want to see is still up...hand over the site to someone who can actually update it once a month
Look I know its nice to have everything updated, but if you REALLY want stats, just go to bruins.nhl.com or whatever. I try to update the things when I can, but it takes a lot of time because I have to go into the template and write every little stat with every box in a code form.
The rumors were not true accoring to Jackets officials, but it wouldn't surprise me to see the Bruins deal for a forward soon. Wish we could have gotten McDonald from the Ducks before he went to St. Louis for Weight.
If they're looking at Zherdev, maybe they should just keep it at a rumour. He's a huge underachiever and only plays when he wants to. On a team that's based around hard work and defensive play, there is no reason to even take a chance on a player like that.
Screw the stats and updating the other crap. Most of us watch the games or like you said Matt, can go to Boston.com, Espn or the B's site for that stuff. I say just shift to game day bloggin/comments, trade rumors/news or things like how do Auld/Timmy split starts when Tim comes back?

First off you guys are doing a great job with the site. There are numerous other places to get up to the minute stats etc. This is a place to hear the latest trade rumors and news on the B's if you want Vladimir Sobatka's # of blocked shots or some other obscure stat go some where else, and stop pissing and moaning about "updates"
