Bochenski Sent Down

Brandon Bochenski has been sent down to Providence for a two game conditioning stint. Coach Julien recently said that Bochenski was a step behind because of all the excess weight he added over the summer. The Bruins may be looking to get him some ice time in Providence before finally giving him an opportunity to show what he can do for the big club. Bochenski will be back for the teams game on Saturday against Philadelphia. Expect to see him either in Saturday's game or the following Thursday against Buffalo. This could be Julien's final assessment of Brandon Bochenski in Boston.

This only makes sense. Either get him in shape to use or let him show off what he's got in the AHL. Maybe we get a defenseman for him if he puts up big numbers. More likely, I think they are keeping him in reserve for when one of our forwards inevitably goes down. It's kind of nice that he is a Murray prototype, it that respect.

I think that Murray has been playing a relatively spirited game lately. He is still Glen Murray past his peak, but I think he has shown some big leadership presence. If he continues to play with spirit we need to keep him around.

i agree, murray needs to go, he is way over paid, get rid of him for picks and/or prospects, have bochenski take over and sign danny markov.

Glen is a leader, and if he only scores 20 this year, he is still contributing to our success and chemistry. We need role player vets like Glen.

Go Bruins!

I agree look at some of the back checking that murray has been doing, he might not be getting the goals but hes creating opportunities and playing smart defencively.
