Regarding Latrappe's previous post, here is what I would do.
-Acquire JS Giguere.
-Acquire a top 6 winger by trading Toivonen.
-Resign B Stuart
-Trade Wayne Primeau for cap space.

Donovan and Primeau have to go or be demote. There's guys in Providence who can fill their spots and they won't hurt the team the way those two clowns does...
Who do we trade to get Giguere? His salary is 4 million per year. And would they take Murray? Do we want to trade Murray? I'd love Giguere, but how?
I agree get Primeau out of here ASAP. I think Tenkrat on the 3rd line and Chistov on the 4th. He seems lazy, although he does look good at times, he takes shifts off and doesnt try. Temkrat adds speed and looks pretty consistent on every shift.
While i think our ideas are great, they are completely impossible!
Giguere (no way we can afford him)

I am fine with trading toivenen for a winger, but most top 6 cost a lot. Unless he is restricted, in which case it would take more than Toivonen to get. True if got rid of Primeau we could save a million.
When I say no way we can afford him, I am really saying, no way we can afford all of them. Stuart is getting a raise if he stays with us (maybe 4 million), Giguere, even if we could convince him to come over here, would cost around 5 million.
We could trade Mara and save 3 million but we would need a defencman back or sign one in the off season.
Just my thoughts. I think we should keep as we are going for this season and hopefully draft well.
Walshie, I understand your financial point but there's no way you can give Primeau and Donovan 12-13 min a game when guy like Kessel and trenkat are more effective and more discipline. Primeau can be include in deal. For an example, Let's say a team want Brad Stuart ( let's assume that he won't re-sign for the example ); well, they will have to take good'ol Primeau with Stuart. The B's can take a UFA to counter balance the financial cost for the other team but, right now, those two bozos are costing the team way much more then their salary.
