Matt, from what i have seen thus far, I want Shanny to retire a ranger
Yeah but we wouldnt have been able to sign Shanny. We didnt have the cap space. It would look good now, but we wouldnt have been able to sign either Savard or Chara. Unless we got creative and instead of signing Mara, packaged him in a deal for a few prospects so that 3 mil we pay him wasnt a waste of cap space for a defensemen who is just awful.
He was signed July 8 or 9
