Hunwick Hospitalized

Matt Hunwick was rushed to the hospital today by ambulance in what is believed to be a spleen injury. No official word from the Bruins yet on the status of his injury. With Hunwick out, Shane Hnidy will be inserted into the lineup. In addition to Hunwick's absence, Andrew Ference will also miss game 2 . The Bruins now have 4 right handed shooting defensemen and only 2 lefthanded shooting defensemen. It will be interesting to see how Julien matches them up, especially with arguably the best two puck moving defenseman on the team out with injuries. Possible pairings:

Chara-Ward
Wideman-Hnidy
Stuart-Montador

wow...

bergeron, i fucking love it.

no way they can suspend lucic, he did not cross check the guy in the face, he got him with the glove, but his stick did come up, but he did not get him in the face with his stick. it was no worse than what komisarek did to huniwck in game 1, and lapperiere had that coming anyway.

I agree; no suspension. Especially after the comments issued by Campbell regarding how "playoff hockey, will be playoff hockey".

Bergeron once again, has proved why he is as much a Bruin as we can remember. All heart.

Game note; Timmy had an assist on Savvy's second goal!

Timmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Mike Cammalleri didn't get suspended for his punch to Havlat, Lucic shouldn't get anything for that... I understand that a match penalty could deserve a suspension but, like it's been said - playoff hockey will be playoff hockey.

I have to admit Jefe77 that the Bruins deserved game 2. Having said that, Lucic does deserve to be suspended. Even if you think not - I think it will happen simply because the league has had enough of this crap. Lucic will be suspended just to be an example of to the rest of the league, if for no other reason.
Now with Hunwick & Lucic out for game 3 and Halak in goal, my beloved Habs will dominate. In my mind's eye, the entire series comes down to game 3. Therefore the Habs will win the series. GO HABS!!

Well Et Le But...In case you missed it Hunwick was out in game 2as well....that really didn't go in your favour ! If Lucic is suspended ( which he shouldn't be) insert Wheeler on his old line and Bitz dresses. Not really a big deal. Thats called depth, which the Habs of none of !!! We will see Price again....likely the 3rd period of game 3 !!

NOT EVEN CLOSE TONIGHT JEFE77 - NOT EVEN CLOSE. SAY GOOD-BYE TO YOUR SERIES LEAD - YOU'LL NEVER SEE IT AGAIN.

sorrrrry et le but you fail at life.

its bull shit if looch gets suspended but it may happen.
what if we brought wheeler back with krech and rydes, moved montador to 4th line, and brought up boychuck? just a thought. its probably going to be bitz, but im also not against sobotka.

go bruins.

I'm all for the suspension to Lucic, if you also penalise the bullshit action from Komisarek on Thursday night... Since when is eye raking an allowable offence, and after a buzzer no less? Whatever, the Habs are going to get what they deserve either way, a one way ticket to playing golf with Celine Dion and her 90 year old husband. The habs are playing desperate hockey and it is showing in the number of penalties they're taking. They're trying to play a game that they're just not that good at.

Et le blue,...where do I begin? First, Mat, da wreck, birdman and Williss pretty much said it all.

To elaborate, the Bruins depth has been their strength all season, and what better example than the game in which the Bruins beat the habs on silly jersey day. You remember that day et le blue?

You came here (as you always do) before the game with your bold prediction, and of course how you would enjoy the silly football game even more. You tell us what factors will contribute to the Bruins losing, and you have been wrong everytime. Every game you have come here, and proven to us that you don't know what your talking about.

That was a great day! We got nice reaction out of you, if I am not mistaken because you were so confident the dirty dirty habs would win.

As for Lucic, if you look at different angles, you will see that it was his glove he popped lapierre with. The same video the Bruins will use in their defense today with the league. Barring any hipocritical action by the league, Lucic will be playing tomorrow.

Hope you are enjoying this wonderful playoff hockey, et le blue! Because I sure am.

i can't believe lucic was suspended and the antics from the last game resulted in a parade.

i guess the league wants the habs to do well in their 100th season...or they need a saturday-nighter to watch next weekend!

What's Komisarek and Lapierre going to do now that Lucic is out for game 3? They don't have to deal with his "antics" anymore. You know, all that hitting, and hard playing that he does. OH WAIT. HOLD ON. THEY STILL HAVE TO KEEP THE PUCK OUT OF THE NET.

9-3 in 2 games.

I forgot about that too...

I am a little dissapointed in the suspension, but after some thought, Boston's still okay. Byron Bitz is a big boy, and can fill in for Lucic nicely. On top of it all, the Habs need to STILL find a way to win...

The Looch suspension was BS but the league has odd priorities at this point.

The whole Bruins philosiphy this year was to play with what they had. They dealt with numerous injuries, both on the blue line and up front. They've missed star guys and role players... and they put together 116 point season.

I heard Jack Edwards talking on the radio tonight, and he made a good point. The Habs are playing for their playoff lives right now.

They will be cheap, dirty, and playing hard. That being said, the Bruins still have size, they still have a few guys who can drop them. And I don't care what anyone says, not having Hunwick hurts, but Hnidy has been playing well when he's been called upon.

Not going to be a 5-1 win for the B's, but I think something more to the tune of 3-2 B's with some great checking and physical action.

Oh... and Halak? Wait till you see the rust on that guy. AHAHAHHAAH

its gonna come down to playing a full disciplined 60 minutes for a win tonight for our B's. dont know if many of you are Dropkick Murphys fans like me but they have a great Bruins fight song called Time to Go on the Blackout album. check it out fellas.

GO GO BLACK and GOLD!!!

It will take more than dropkick murphy's to help you tonight. Even if Lucic were to play tonight - it would not matter. Tonight it will be the Habs dropkicking the the Bruins - 6 to 0. Everything will go our way tonight. It is already been preordained.

6:46 PM
Blogger Jefe77 said...

...preordained? The only thing that is preordained is that your team SUCKS.

Thoughts, Et le blue?

Did you enjoy the game as much as you thought you would? Ha ha ha ha!!

You didnt break anything in your home did you?

It makes me laugh. The Bruins fans are realistic in their predictions: The Habs are going to play tough, the bruins have to do this this and this to win. They do it and win.

The Habs fans live in on a cloud or something. 6-1? Do you know how many times Thomas has given up 6 goals in a game this season?

oh wait... zero...

You're a moron.
