Savard for Bieksa

Hahahaha.  Wow.  Ek really pulled this out of his ass.  Marc Savard to Vancouver for Kevin Bieksa.

I don't think Chiarelli is MOC.   Arguably the best playmaker in the league, for one of the most affordable deals in the league over the next 2 seasons (5 million per) for a 27 year old defender with one good season.  (42 points 81 games in 06-07).

Don't worry Bruins fans, this is a joke.

SPECTOR'S NOTE: I don't believe Savard is being shopped, but if he were, it certainly wouldn't be for Vancouver's Kevin Bieksa as has been floating around on the internet. That deal would be so one-sided in favor of the Canucks that Bruins fans would run Chiarelli out of town on a rail!

As reported on Spector's web site this morning.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!

Eklund is a clown (E5). From my multiple sources across the NHL, all of which confirming that Eklund is a clown. After years of speculation, my sources have also confirmed that Eklund (yes the clown), pulls everything straight out of his ass. Never once have these "rumors" been correct. The majority of information obtained is his personal opinion. Not one of the trades that he claims to be in making have ever transpired. However, in the rare circumstance, when there is a trade in the works in the NHL, everyone is aware of the players involved (as newpapers, tsn, or analysts inform the public of such speculations), it is always he who takes it one step further and breaks innaccurate, incorrect information- "eklund (E5), breaks it first". They also confirm that the NHL is not a playstation game where trades happen every day, sorry Eklund keep playing NHL09 in mommy's basement. This annoucement will be announced by the NHL tomorrow.

eklund is a tool. realistically it would look more like kessel for bieksa. how many centres do the canucks want?
sedin
kesler
morrison
AND savard? no chance.

IF the bruins dump savard, who they worked so hard convinving he was here for the long-haul and used as an example for other free agents to sign in boston, they would only alienate some of their other roster players (ie chara).

on the bright side, i got 3rd from the glass tix to see the bruins in barfalo!

I copied this from another site:

{Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli shot down a report that he's been trying to trade center Marc Savard, reports the Boston Herald.
"We're not looking to trade Marc Savard," Chiarelli told the paper.

While Savard's job may be safe, Chiarelli didn't rule out the possibility of making other deals.

"There's a chance [of making a trade]," he said. "I'm looking to improve the team. I've had a couple of discussions, more than a couple."

It's believed the Bruins are searching for a puck-moving defenseman.}

Eklund is a tool (E4). If you read his post carefully, it says that there MAY be a trade involving Boston. Here is my prediction: There MAY be trades between two NHL clubs, maybe three. I'll give that an M5.

remember the outcry after the Thornton trade, IF Chiarelli he would be luck if all they did was ship him out on the rails. I would bet there would be a bounty on his head...

Yeah, PC and Cam Neely have been working on improving our reputation as a team that signs people we beleive in.

MOC and Sinden had screwed us; no UFA would ever come here during their tenureship.

Want UFA's to continue to sign here? Then DONT trade the ones you already did sign.

I like Chiarelli and think he is putting the Bruins in the right direction. But enough already, PJ is done. Get rid of him. He is a waste on this team and taking FIRST LINE MINUTES away from some of the kids who could further develop ( Wheeler, Lucic, Sobotka, even Kessel(3rd line)). Start the youth movement already.

What a pile of bs. That guy needs to layoff the bottle. However if you throw in Luongo its a done deal. Fallse Ontario

Morrison plays for the Ducks. Vancouver needs another centreman worse then Columbus. That trade rumour is the stupidest thing I've heard. Maybe Anaheim will give us Getzlaf for Ference. Or Tampa could give us Vinny for Ward.

Fallse, I have never commented against your arguements as I usually agree, but what do you really have against PJ?

Is it his fault that Julien has wrongly played him on the first line in parts of last season and this preseason?

This isnt an insulting question but a VERY honest one; how long have you been watching the Bruins?

PJ has only contributed when he has played. Maybe he has suffered a couple seasons missing what, 25 -30 games...but you are kicking to the curb, the Bruins best defensive forward the last 10 years.

What gives?

HA why dont we just trade Joe Thornton for three guys I never heard ......... oh wait .

That PJ question goes out to everyone.

How can you diss our best defensive forward, who yes, does NOT belong on the first line with Savard and Ryder.

Just tired of hearing an impact player getting kicked around, when he has been a solid contributor for 10 seasons here.

As for the difference here with trading Joe T and Savard, is;

1. Joe T was not a UFA signed to be part of a new system. He fell from favor of management and ownwers after lackluster playoff performances (lets see how many more playoff no-shows the Sharks put up with)

2. Everyone but the last posting "anonymous" did in fact know who those "3 guys" were. And they were all quality players whether they panned out in Boston or not. Bieksa....suuuuucks....

Jeffe 77 I agree with it being the coaches fault. Im not saying PJ is done or that hes not good defensive forward I just think we have alot of younger players that could be better then him if we would just give them a chance. Plus he would be good trade bate to get another offensive defencemen dont get me wrong I'd rather dump Schaefer but there would be no takers other then to place him on waivers and send him to the minors. Fallse Ontario

Im 28 I've played since I was 3 I've also played junior b and c then received a heart problem and I couldn't play body contact for 2years and now Im retired into the beer league. I've cheered for the Bruins my hole life it started cause my dad was a habs fan and my dad and I never seen eye to eye. I couldn't always watch every game but since center ice came out I have not missed a game.. Fallse Ontario

Why doesn't PJ belong with Savard and Ryder? Or Savard and Murray? Julien has tried to take him off before but whenever Savvy went a few games without a point PJ would move back up to the top line and suddenly Savvy starts producing again. I don't think you can argue with results. You call bitch all year and say "Kessel should be Savvy's left winger". The fact is its been tried and didn't work. I don't consider Axelsson on his own to be a top 6 winger, but if his presence help Savard relax and worry only about setting up goals, he can play on the top unit all year.

pj has been on the top line because savvy cant handle all of his defensive responsibilities. kessel-savard-ryder facing heatley spezza and alfredson would be disastrous. thats why i personally think that bergy should be the number one center, savard is a better offensive player(arguably the best playmaker in the league) but his game still isnt round enough. but i would never say that im right and julien is wrong, because julien kicks ass, and i trust him. so if he thinks we are better off with pj on the first line then i cant really disagree.

Hello are you guys hearing yourselfs PJ is not help this line Savy would have another 40 pts if you put him with another guy that can score more them 10 goals and thats why we have checking lines to play against other teams top lines. This is all basic hockey since. Plus savy is alot better in his own zone as of last under are new coach did you watch any games or just catch the highlights. Fallse Ontario

Gee, why aren't you running a hockey team, you seem to know so much more then Julien or Chiarelli. Kessel would be a superstar if it wasn't for those 2 clowns. Fallse Ontario. Even if Savards line scores 15 more goals its no good if they allow another 30 because they are all defensively stupid. Thats basic hockey, Fallse Ontario

7:53 PM

Your calling them defensively stupid why were we one of the best teams in the GAA last year did Savard not play and PC has nothing to do with setting the lines. 15goals hardly gives Savy 40 more pts read my post before you open your fly trap I cant beleive Im defending myself to moron that knows nothing about the game or team systems. Fallse Ontario

savvy is a lot better in his own zone, but he still sucks defensively, throw kessel in the mix and you might as well put it in your own net. and just like jefe, ive almost always agreed with your posts.

Fallse Dont listen to these retards, every thing I read of yours makes perfect sense too me. I never heard you say kessel on the top line, who would you put there? Lucic ? Chris fm NY

calm down with the hate speech "Chris fm NY" saying that im a retard is by association saying that the person i "almost always agreed with"(previous post) is a retard. now then, seeing as how one of us must be the retard, it leaves fallse in a rather shitty position, and thats just not very nice.
