Ward won't be dealt; extension being discussed

According to the Boston Globe,

Many GM's have called Peter Chiarelli about Aaron Ward, but he has said that he is not going to be traded, and they are talking about an extension.

The guess is that the deal could be for 1 year.

Matt's take: Now you really know the Bruins are not sellers. Ward has been great adding a veteran presence on the blueline and some timely offense. I would like to have Ward back at a salary below his 2.75 this season.

ward 2 mil or less is a very good deal. ward over 2 million is stupid and if chiarelli pulls such an act should be fired.

Aaron Ward for 3 million still isn't bad. He's a responsible solid defenceman. He'd get at least that on the market.

If GM's got fired for every mistake they make, none of them would last a month. Take it a little easier on PC.
