Giguere to be a Target
The Ottawa Sun reports the Bruins could make JS Giguere their top target this season. He will likely commend around 4.5-5 million a season.
Matt's take: Giguere is one of the top goaltenders in the NHL, and his name has popped up in rumors with the Bruins for some time. Chiarelli has 7-10 million to spend, and there are no gaping free agents on the team we have to resign. Moving Murray first could be a priority, and LA has some interest in bringing him back. Even without trading Muzzy, Giguere could still be a Bruin. Chiarelli said he won't sign a top UFA, but how would that improve a mediocre team?

Sorry, but number4bobbyorr, you try and criticize everyone here because you dont agree with the authors or people who leave comments. It does get rather annoying. I loved the one when you said after the Bruins won 4 games in a row, "everyone who wants Dave Lewis to be fired does not know hockey". You later blabbed on about how the players must buy into "his system" and that no one else can realize that. Pekese and Latrappe have said since day one that Lewis is a bad coach and you always left comments defending him. I agree with your cloned nickname that you have no clue about hockey.

Lewis is a bad coach
It doesn't meant that he's the only reason why this team awful bu when your system, if there's any, turn your best players into 4th line grinders; there's a problem. Playing a defensive in the high scoring NHL is a receipe for disaster unless you have a guy like Brodeur between the pipes. Thomas is not even close to get there...
I'm obviously not the one going around using other people's nicknames to post ridicule and insults, again and again and again.
It's pretty clear that "jimmy", "latrappe", "number8petermcnab", obnoxious variations of my nickname and various cowardley "anynomous" comments are all the same person.

I think that we are all a little bit upset with how this team has turned out. If Dave Lewis remains as the coach of this team, then it is headed nowhere, especially with all the youth the team has to develop(Lashoff, Kessel, Wideman, Karsums, Kalus and even Bergeron).
Sorry to dissapoint you number4 but its true, and has been what me and Latrappe have said all season long. I do recall the day when you said Latrappe was "full of shit", because he questioned Lewis. I also recall the time you said we knew nothing about hockey because we didnt support Lewis' system. I guess that means the whole team knowns nothing about hockey, because apparently they do not support his stupid coaching "system".
This is our blog and we express our thoughts on what we observe. If you do not like what we say then do not come here anymore, and if you do then please refrain making insults on bloggers because they do not share the same views with you. And yes we know about the stuff you say about us on different sites as someone previously stated.

Yeah, I recall that too. But what I recall is this: I wrote a comment that disagreed with him, but was civil. And it was deleted.
The next day I wrote a similar comment, where I disagreed, but was civil. And it was deleted.
At least one other comment of mine was deleted as well. So finally, out of sheer frustration and thinking nobody would read it but the person who deleted my comments, I really cut loose. Profanity and all. And *that's* the one that goes through... very nicely done if your goal is to try to humiliate me!
I'm not going to pretend I have respect for what you (pekese) and latrappe have to say. I think the two of you are more hockey critics than fans, and like so many critics neither of you has the experience or knowlege to back up your often strongly-worded criticisms. I am not looking to read amateur criticism of my team.
I started reading this blog when it was just Matt. Although I don't always agree with him I respect his opinions. I thought I could simply read and respond to Matt and just leave you and latrappe be. But apparently the two of you aren't going to allow that to happen. Oh well.
One last thing before I go (back on topic): the article Matt refers to doesn't mean a thing. The author was simply speculating on which teams might be interested in Gigeurre based on his own notions about which teams could use goaltending.
All it said was this: "The Bruins, Lightning, Hawks, Panthers, Kings and Coyotes are all expected to try to upgrade their goaltending and might make Anaheim stopper J.S. Giguere their No. 1 target."
