Toivonen Assigned in Providence

According to the Boston Globe, Toivonen was sent down earlier today. The B's called up Phillipe Sauve to take the slack.

Latrappe's take: There's no easy way out here but i don't think it's a good decision. Granted that Toivonen needed some ice time but if Thomas get hurt or has a bad game; you will have, in net, a backup who lost his position ( as a backup ) in Phoenix. That's definitely not something you want to see when you chase a playoffs spot. Toivonen was sent down.. York to be the next???
