Ozolinsh on Waivers

The New York Rangers have placed former all-star defenseman Sandis Ozolinsh on waivers. He will make 2.75 million this season and any team can claim him. Ozolinsh has 3 points in 21 games this year so far.

Ozolinsh was once regarded as the top offensive defenseman in the league, but drug problems have possibly ruined his career.

Umm, you surprised me Matt!!
Mara is horrendous inside our blueline and the offence we expected from him is not there..
To players are stuggling and a change for both may be good for both teams..
The only thing I liked so far from Mara was when he picked up for Chara after Tucker hit him, other than that what else has he brought to the table? His +/- is terrible and it shows in his defensive play..What do we have to lose if this trade went through Matt??

Have a great Christmas guys!! Nice place here, Great job you and Latrappe and company are doin!!

Me a Ranger fan??? Now that's funny..
Hey guys, at least give me a reasonable explanation? Or is it, you two are the only ones among us Bruin nation that actually thinks Mara is playing decent hockey..

Let me put it this way. Mara has been playing great as of late, you have to remember the switch of Conference's is the same as Leagues in baseball, it takes some time. Also, this is Sandis Ozolinsh, he is horrible and is a druggie.

Well, you did respond with valid reasoning and I thank you for that..
I'm watching Mara and the Bruins beating up on Ottawa right at this minute..Therefore Matt, do me a favor and forget I even mentioned that trade..
Sometimes, we are all quick to make a trade and usually 90% of them are unreasonable, or spur of the moment trades..
I agree with you on the conference change, although Mara did origionally come from the East, drafted and played for Tampa..There's also no doubt he's playing better..Hope he soon tallies his first goal as a Bruin and then goes on a tear simular to Brad Stuart..
One thing I would like to see is the dumping of York and bring up Lashoff or Mark Stuart..
Good Chatting and Merry Xmas to you and your readers.
