Game Review: Ottawa 10/28/06

Great game by the Bruins. Did not let the 1st goal mess them up and great all around play by the team.

3 Stars:

1. Zdeno Chara
2. Tim Thomas
3. P.J. Axlesson

Axlesson had a great forecheking play which led to a goal. Chara came up with a timely rip from the point which gave them the late lead. Thomas had some great saves to keep them in the game.

i dissagree this was a much needed win, but not a great game.....no finish from murray bergy and boys. kessel remains biten..still looking for some offense from mara, donovan, primeua and any of the fourth line guys.

too many men on the ice again - against an ottawa team that is obviously reeling from the loss of a number of their key players. sure there are some bright spots...albert will be back - lashoff looks good. pj single handly literally stole this victory and also has anybody looked more like they care in the last couple games more than pj. this team is still brutal offensively in their 3rd and 4th lines adn 5-6 sixth d these positions are in need of an offensive spark. look for chiarilli to move prospects for a thirdline center with some finish (bye bye wayne)

I agree Neb. I though that the third line would be more effective. As far for Dempsey and York; Lashoff performances, if he keep up the good work, should push one of the two out of the lineup ( wishful thinking here ).

Cant wait to see the D in about 2-3 weeks.

Lashoff-Chara
Stuart-Stuart
Alberts-Mara

The majority of time going to the big 3, stuart, mara and chara with 12-15 mins a piece for the younger d. Having York or Jurcina on the bench as a 7th defenseman, unless someone is traded before hand. Dempsey would probably get released if he doesnt have a two way contract(not sure if he does or not). Overall looks good once we get people back.
