Kesler Signs Offer Sheet With Flyers

Vancouver Canucks RFA Ryan Kesler has signed an offer sheet with the Flyers. The deal would pay him 1.9 million for 1 season. The Canucks have one week to match it. It they walk away from it, they will receive a 2nd round pick.

*Finally someone messes with somone elses RFA's. It's about time.

UPDATE: TSN is reporting that the Canucks will indeed match the offer given to Ryan Kesler.

Sorry Matt, there's no way I agree with your comment!!
What if the Bruins lost Bergeron or Boyes this way??My opinion of another team offering an offer sheet to a player of another team is dirty tactics that will eventually come back to haunt you..And Bobby Clarke of all people?? He should be thankful no one offered one to Gagne..Clarke would have been singing a tune simular to the one I'm humming now..

dirty? the comensation is there in the form of draft picks and depending on the player - like a gagne, lots of draft picks....remember the avs were able to turn lindros draft picks into cups....and what did the flyers get from lindros-headaches!
