The Lines...

Sturm-Savard-Murray
Schaefer-Bergeron-Kessel/Bochenski
Kobasew-Krecji/Kessel-Lucic
Axelsson-Metrpolit-Thornton/Reich

Chara-Alberts
Ward-Ference
Stuart-Wideman

Fernandez
Thomas

A weird combo at forward where Bochenski can be a winger with Bergy or Kessel will be the winger, and then Kessel could center the 3rd line if Boch is on the 2nd line. The 4th line consists of a strong checking line with Axy, Metropolit and a combo of one of the enforcers.

The defense is pretty much set and the goaltending is set as well.

They have been liking Kobasew to the right of Bergeron, and Bochenski has played like a lump. I don't see his lackluster preseason being rewarded with 2nd line icetime. To me, it looks more like this up front:

Sturm-Savard-Murray
Kessel-Bergeron-Kobasew
Schaefer-Krejci-Bochenski/Lucic
Axelsson-Metropolit-Thornton/Reich

axelsson will be on the 3rd line for some odd reason. he should be on the 4th or traded. the bruins need 3 lines of offense and obviously axelsson cannot contribute in that field, as he showed last year playing on the top line and number one powerplay unit for the entire season.

I think Schaefer is gonna be on the top line with sturm and savy. He's been playing with them throughout camp, why would that change for the first few games of the season?

im assuming u mean murray not sturm. since both sturm and schaefer are left wings and did not play together at all this camp. it was murray on that line.

I don't necessarily agree that Axelsson can't contribute offensively. That isn't his core game, but he did have some assists when he was playing with Kessel. I'd rather see him in a defensive role, but he doesn't kill an offensive push.

Hoggan has been placed on waivers...probably to free up some cap space. Stuart (according to nhlnumbers.com) is hitting 1.58MM of cap? Is that right? I think trade him, sign Metro and sign Markov. I haven't seen anything spectacular in Stuart (especially for 1.58MM)

Yeah including rookie bonuses, which do count against the over cap hit, even if incentives are not reached, Stuart's salary is somewhere in that ballpark.

You blockhead Axelsson is a good defensive offense man. Not everything is about numbers, Axelsson has shut down some of the best players in the NHL. OH and the 3rd line is a checking line not an offensive line.

yeah for shitty teams its a checking line. all the good teams in the nhl have 3 solid offensive lines. were not in 1995 anymore.
