Potential Bruins Post-Deadline Roster

Here is what I would like to see happen in a chance that we make a push to be a real contender. Surprisingly even though our record isn't what we all hoped for, the lack of talent isn't there. We do have talent, but we are just 1 or 2 players away from being a true contender.

Moves
-Claim Sergei Samsonov off re-entry waivers from the Montreal Canadiens.

-Acquire Eric Brewer from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for a 3rd round pick, a 6th round pick in either 2007 or 2008, and Petr Tenkrat.

Lines

Samsonov-Savard-Murray
Sturm-Bergeron-Kessel
Axlesson-Boyes-Bochenski
Mowers-Primeau-Donovan
Reich

Chara-Alberts
Stuart-Brewer
Mara-Allen
York

Thomas
Toivonen

Salaries

Samsonov will count for 50% of his contract for the next two seasons. His cap number this year will be relatively small, at 1.75 million or so. And he will count for that next season and will only be on the hook for half of the 3.7 million from the Bruins.

Eric Brewer makes 2,014,000 this season, and is an impending UFA, which means we won't have to give up much. He would only count for 1 million or so against the cap this season.

Idiot - Montreal will never call Samsanov up. Why would they?

Well that is why they sent him down, one annonymous team said they'd take him on reentry and the Canadiens said all right. Why would the Habs waste paying him 5 million over the rest of his contract?

First off, why the name calling? Especially if you don't understand re-entry waivers. Maybe you should do some research before calling names.
Second, grow some balls and post your name if you're going to be a hero behind a keyboard throwing out insults.
The original post has some good ideas. I just don't see St.Louis giving up Brewer for that little. Also, i'm doubting PC would want to aquire Brewer and then have both him and Stuart being UFAs and the Bruins getting nothing for losing them.
I see Boston sending Stuart, since I recently heard he doesn't want to stay here. If that is the case, ship him out and bring in a player that wants to be here or is under contract (RFA) for the next few years. Witt in NYI, Bergeron in Edm., etc.
