On Fire!
The Bruins was the better team, last night, as they defeating Washington for a second straight game. Murray played the hero by closing the book in OT. Here's your Heroes and Zeroes for last nights game.
Heroes:
- Glen Murray: This guy is looking rock solid since 5 games. His enthousiasm is contagious and he showed real leadership. He looks like the Glen Murray of the JT era.
- Patrice Bergeron: Some fans were worried about his game but he's picking up the slack, lately, and scored a SO and a OT winner. Last night, he was dynamic.
- Paul Mara: Last night, his +/- showed that he was even. That's enough to put him here.
- Special teams: the PK squad killed 5 out of 6; the PP squad collected 2 goals.
Zeroes:
- None: The team played a solid game all around. I don't think anyone deserved a "zeroes" status.

It's hard to believe you'd leave out from the hero's column a goaltender who's won 4 games in a row, and in that time has stopped 109 of 117 shots (0.932 save percentage) and has a GAA of 2.00.
But I think an even more glaring omission is Stuart. He had a huge game. He was like a one-man PK unit! And that hit he made in the 2nd fired up both the team and the fans.
neb: yeah I saw PJ doing that too--even before they scored. It was like, Oh no! How did they leave O open? (Covers eyes) Goal!
I think in general Alberts had a good game though. When he gets physical he's a force. I don't blame players for a mistake here and there (or a skate slipping). Everybody makes mistakes; everybody has nasty things happen; and everybody has a bad night from time to time. I know people like that--who see a player make one big screwup and never forgive them for it. I always wonder how well they'd do out there!
neb your an idiot. I would disagree Latrappe, I think Mowers and Primeau deserves zeroes. Another bad penalty from Primeau, even Dale the ultimate terrible player lover called him on it. Stuart had a good game and i cant wait for him to be 100% cuz then he can take over for mara at the point on the 2nd pp. Hopefully with Mara not gettin any worse his trade bait is still high.
Greg, Do you think the B's will be able to re-sign Stuart?

I hope so. For me this is a test of the new management. The teams having the most success in the these days have been able to hold on to most of their key players.

Alberts is doing fine but he still in the learning process. Playing with Chara or Stuart will help him greatly and i like his physical presence too. Defenseman are long time project and you have to be patient with them. I wonder when Mark Stuart will be recall. Maybe Jurcian will be the odd man out.
Neb, agreed about Primeau. I wonder when Lewis will make some players accountable for their bad penalties ( due to a lack of effort ) or their careless plays ( Mara ). There's planty of young guys in Providence who can fulfill's Primeau role...
Agreed that Stuart pick up nicely his game. I just wonder if the team will be able to re-sign him. Having Chara and him to lead and teach to our young defensemans would be a terrific investement for the future.
