What my lines would be
Kobasew-Savard-Murray
Sturm-Bergeron-Bochenski
Schaefer-Krejci-Kessel
Lucic-Metropolit-Thornton
Ference-Chara
Alberts-Wideman
Stuart-Ward
I don't feel like the Bruins will use Lucic much and eventually will send him back to the WHL, hence the reason for me putting him on my 4th line. Axelsson could slide right in there. My proposal of lines would give them 3 very good scoring lines, with each line having a defensive minded forward as well. The defense obviously isn't the greatest and needs an upgrade. I know these lines probably won't be the opening night lines, but they are what I would like them to be. Here is a more realistic view, and similar to what Julien has been using all pre-season:
Sturm-Savard-Murray
Schaefer-Bergeron-Kobasew
Axelsson-Krejci-Kessel
Reich/Lucic-Metropolit-Thornton/Bochenski
Sturm-Bergeron-Bochenski
Schaefer-Krejci-Kessel
Lucic-Metropolit-Thornton
Ference-Chara
Alberts-Wideman
Stuart-Ward

I think Schaefer is better suited on #1 - because he sort of remind me of Knuble. Savvy and Muzz are not gritty enough, so it's better if Schaef gets into the corners to battle the puck lose, give it to Savvy - Muzz can set up with Scaef sets the screen.
SCHAEF-SAV-MUZZ
STURM-BERGIE-KESSEL
LUCIC-KREJCI-BOCHEN
KOBASEW-METRO-THORN
And I still think with some moves, they can sign Markov and get him in there.
Big-E, I like your lines and if Lucic is here for more than 10 games I hope thats where he plays. Signing Markov would be great, but it is unrealistic since the Bruins are approaching the salary cap max, especially since they are carrying 3 extra players who will have to be scratches each night.
Bochenski has to get off to a good start in the regular season, or he could find himself with another team pretty quickly. He is so streaky it is almost sad.
I think it would be best at this point to send down either Krejci or Lucic. If not then they need to move somebody. Even though I like Axelsson I think he should be moved if he isn't slated to play on the top three lines. Get rid of him and sign Markov. If they plan on keeping Axelsson then send down Krejci.
Schafer - Savard - Murray
Sturm - Bergeron - Bochenski
Lucic - Kessel - Kobasew
Axelsson - Metropolit - Thornton/Reich
Alberts and Wideman... Two very slow guys. Sounds like Disaster, IMO.
Axelsson not on your team? Once again, another craptastic article.
Bochenski totally played himself off the top two lines.
axelsson sucks
Whomever the leader of the idiot parade is that enjoys trashing on PJ Axelsson needs to get a clue. Axelsson is an excellent and one of the top checking forwards in the game. If you're expecting him to put up points then you're sorely mistaken and need to take your gripe elsewhere.
Axelsson does a great job of shutting down teams top forwards. Just look at his matchups in the past and you'll see.
Get a clue about the game before you continue to post pointless remarks like you have been.
Half the people who post here dont watch the Bruins, dont know the team let alone the game.
All the PJ haters, sorry you tards, you know NOTHING. You are asking to get rid of a player every team in the NHL would want.
That = you being completely ignorant.
Fact: Axelsson is awesome
Fact: Axelsson BEATS Battlestar Galactica
I'm pretty sure the Axey haters are only looking at Fantasy stats while they watch Star Trek
I can't believe anyone would think the Bruins would be better off without Axelsson in the line-up. Anyone who thinks this has just proven they don't know anything about the game of hockey and should keep their opinions to themselves to prevent further embarrassment for themselves. It's bad enough you have to read crap like that from random people off the web but to hear that from one of the so-called head writers of this page is the biggest joke I have ever heard. Do us all a favour "pekese" and let someone else do the writing for the website!
