Various reports are out that Sens goalie Ray Emery has had conversations with 2 other teams on a possible contract. The Bruins are reportedly hot for his services and could offer him a deal.

I also worry about this a bit. H emay have talent, as we saw in the playoffs, but this has not been proven in more than one season.

Also, his personality may cause friction in the locker room, based on what I've read otherwise.

I would almost rather have a decent veteran who can take some load of TT, and also mentor him and others in the works (Rask).

Will that get us to the Stanley Cup? No...but it would help us develop into a team that can; and even with a better goalie, we're not there yet with the rest of the team....

The team needs to spend $$ on Ryan Smyth and a cheaper veteran goaltender. There is nothing they are going to do now to make this team a contender this year. Anyone who thinks that is kidding only themselves. If they play their cards right this year and next then maybe they would have a legitimate shot unless the dump all heir good young talent.

i got to see ray play in the minors. he played on my best friends hockey team. he was a lot of fun to watch and a solid guy. i'm happy he is doing well and would love to see him in a B's uniform. however, i agree that this isn't the answer to our never ending goalie situation. federko: good call on the desperate moves. i'm a tad nervous if this is a sign of things to come...

he's a restricted free agent so I heard we'd have to give Ottawa a 1st, 2nd and 3rd in next years draft if we sign him.

Why would we do that? He's not THAT good.

Sign CuJo, then go after Kipprosoff (sp?) next year.

Ray Emery in Boston would be the best. He's a great goalie. that would be a great choice for the Bruins.
