Jurcina's Washington Debut

Milan Jurcina logged 20:23 of ice time in his first game for the Capitals. He played one shift on the powerplay and had regular shifts on the penalty kill. This game marks the second most minutes the 23 year old defenseman has logged all season. His previous high was 21 minutes against the Senators in a 5-2 loss, a game in which Brad Stuart and Zdeno Chara both missed. Jurcina played a steady game for the Capitals despite the loss. He will receive a lot of playing time in Washington especially with the injuries to defensemen Brian Pothier and former Bruin's first round pick (19th overall) Shaone Morrisonn.
